Loma on the other hand is signed to Top Rank, Who has a contract with ESPN. Mikey being a free agent could EASILY come over to ESPN to make the fight a reality, but he demands Loma comes to Showtime, KNOWING Loma can't.

BTW, Why not make this a PPV Fight?? I say it gets around 250-300k Buys. That, plus gate and endorsements, total revenue could be around $18-20 mil, which is more than enough for both fighters, and Arum greedy a$$.
Why would Mikey go to ESPN knowing that Showtime will pay him more money than ESPN will. Everyone knows that HBO will not have any top quality fights with 2 big stars fighting each other. They can't afford it. Keep in mind that every Loma opponent always gets offered around 500k or less while he gets paid around 850k. Showtime/CBS will pay Loma more money if he fights Mikey on Showtime. Broner/Garcia just made over a mil each. Showtime has been willing to pay for two top fighters to fight each other. It doesn't matter if Mikey is a free agent, he knows very well Showtime will take care of him, and no matter what he is a bigger draw than Loma.

your logic is flawed. unlike HBO, ESPN runs commercials and gets paid to advertise. You're right, HBO has a certain budget based on their subscribers, but ESPN doesn't. Because of the huge viewership expected for such a fight, ESPN could EASILY charge double the amount they usually do to have commercials running during the telecast, which would create a bigger budget. If I know that, I'm pretty sure Mikey and his team know as well, and for them to flat out say "It must happen on Showtime" without discussing if ESPN would host it tells me Mikey is not very serious about this match up.

So Loma is talking tough that hes not impressed with Mikey and would take the fight anytime but yet tells Dan Rafael something else?

        Steve (Tampa) [via mobile]

What's the likelihood of Loman*****o vs Garcia being next should Loma win tomorrow?
Dan Rafael, The Boxing Guy (12:17 PM)

Zero chance. Lomachenko said that even if that fight could be made (and I dont think it will) he would not take it without at least one fight at 135 first.

Loma wants the fight, so let's not turn our anger on him! We know who could make the fight! And we know why the fight will probably never happen! So let's not turn our anger on Mikey Garcia! Mikey is 37-0! He's earned the right to demand that fighters come to Showtime!

he knows the history of arum and TR working with other promoter, he was once a TR fighter. he gets out of his TR contract and now he wants to fight a TR fighter and is telling that fighter to come to showtime, when he himself know damm well thats gonna be impossible and you're on here glorifying him? this is what is wrong with boxing today.

loma even said it in the interview. "i have a contract to fight for a certain network and i cant break that contract, so why is he telling me to come to showtime".

They could do that but I really doubt they would for a boxing fight. The only reason Pac got a big purse for the Horn fight was because the people in Australia were putting up the money. Only time will tell if ESPN and Arum can afford to pay more that 2 million for a fight card. Its pretty much a guarantee that neither Loma or Crawford will be fighting another top drawing star on ESPN.

The only reason MIkey is mentioning Loma is because Loma called him out and said he would fight him. Mikey knows very well that Showtime will pay more than Arum. Arum will never pay Mikey the same amount he will pay Loma. I wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden team Loma comes out with winner take all bs that they do when they see a fighter as a threat. Loma will make more money fighting Mikey on Showtime.

what does arum have anything to do with paying mikey? mikey doesnt fight for arum.

mikey also know very well that loma cant come to showtime. so if mikey really wanted to fight loma, why tell loma to come to showtime when he knows that's impossible.

he even said so in an interview last week that TR fighters are only allow to fight each other. he knows this but yet he's asking loma if he wants it then come to showtime? LOL

Now did you fail in answering that question.

Was the question too hard for you or did the answer make you look like an idiot?

Tell me when you have the balls to answer?

I see why you like Floyd, you got that yellow streak in you as well.
