Loma really needs to shut up...he's always been a bit of a talker, and I have no doubt he's not scared of anyone, but don't call out, or talk about fights that will not happen...not a good look.

Marriaga has been chosen to make Loma look invincible infront of the casual audience on ESPN. There will be a bigger TV audience than on HBO.

You are probably on of the very few Ukrainians beside me who look on this situation from a realistic point. I think Garcia would beat Loma right now at 135. Loma needs 1-2 good opponents at 135 next before facing Garcia.

Tell me again why Floyd announce his fight against Marquez the day before Pacquiao fought Hatton, in Vegas. And he chose to fight Marquez a lightweight.

I think the fight will happen if Bob believes Lomo can win. If he loses they have the moving up to fight a bigger guy excuse so its pretty much a win win for Lomo as long as he doesn't get blown out. If he wins it will probably be the biggest win he will ever get considering the competition at thise weights.

It would be a huge win for Loma if he jumps straight to 135 and fights Garcia in the first fight. But IMO he could face Flanagan in December for the WBO Lightweight title and then unify titles against Garcia in 2018. Since becoming WBO Super Champ since yesterday Loma can jump straight to 135 and face the WBO Champ there. Also Frank Warren pushes for Loma vs Flanagan since March.

I think that even though Mikey is bigger in Loma's mind he is thinking he is just as big or bigger once he beef's up a bit because he looks to bit a lil tad bit taller

                    Sounds like the ideal plan.

The more I look at Loma the more I doubt he will finish his career at 147 as he does have a rather small frame. Smaller guys like him need to take more time to put on weight properly. And for Mikey he would need to be solid.

But then again, Salido was massive in their fight and all the nonsese of that fight aside Loma almost knocked his ass out in the end...

They just need to be intelligent and going after Mikey now is not a good move. Fight Flanagan, have a good defense and fight Mikey if he is still there.

As far as 140lb...I think he would need a few more years of acclimation, he would still have the speed to counter his lack of size but you got some big boys at 140.

Gary Russell Jr was undefeated and the ESPN prospect of the year, Walters was also undefeated. I don't like this Marriaga fight either but you would be hard pressed to find another 10 fight boxer with a better resume and a couple of championships in 2 divisions. Peace.
