Everyone knew that his ibf mandatory was due and there was nothing he could do about that. He tried to fight pulev in December but he turned the fight down.
Yeah all true, I don't think Hearn wants to put him in with Ortiz though (don't know why, Ortiz has looked terrible in his last couple fights)
They never ever mention his name it's incredible.

I think it was the plan at one point why else would Hearn sign him but he didn't really leave a lasting impression on the British public. I don't think it's a fight he wants in the same way pulev isn't a fight he wants but if it came down to it he'd be willing to. The fact is he can't fight them both at the same time and he won the ibf belt first so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the belt he decides to keep. I hope he does manage to fight both of them though I don't see anything about Ortiz that should worry aj

So a SD over Chisora is his best win, since getting brutally KTFO by WK in his last shot, and THAT warrants a mandatory????

Ortiz is unbeaten at 27-0 And should OBVIOUSLY be next for AJ!

This is a perfect example of why NONE of the alphabet groups are worth a FK!

They are just a bunch of boxing parasites!

the big stiff idiot gets the shot while the slick guy no one wants to fight does not. boxing always gets it wrong but in reality they get it right cause they know what they are doing.

What I am saying is that Ortiz had been promised his title shot long before Joshua came into the picture.

Lastly, Anthony Joshua owes Team Ortiz nothing but the WBA does. They can't sue Team Joshua to fight them unless he refuses to relinquish the title. If Team Joshua relinquishes the title then there is nothing Team ortiz can do about it because he would become the new WBA champion by either default or challenge for it while it's vacated.

Ortiz already had a title shot lined up and withdrew, so I will have to skip the pity party for him......

Plus it seems he's giving Wilder the run around when Deontay is giving him a shot at the green belt. Forget Team Ortiz, a bunch of clowns..

Yes I know. He had two options for a title as a matter of fact and his choice for either one of them. However, he had to choose one over the other. Therefore, he opted to exercise the one where he is the universally recognized mandatory challenger for the WBA title rather than the other one, which is very well within his right and prerogative.

Well he could have fought his IBF mandatory instead of fighting Molina. Hearn and Joshua were aware of this whole situation as they were notified by the WBA that the winner of Joshua/Klit would have to face Ortiz within 120 days as well.

Yep, like I said in my OP to you, Ortiz has looked terrible in his fights against Malik Scott and Dave Allen, AJ should beat him easy...whether the British public were impressed or not he's still the mandatory, team AJ should try to get the two mandatories boxed off asap which should free him up late next year for a unification.

I mean in regards to klitschko it doesn't take 4 months to decide if you want the rematch...and there's a saying in life which is don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I think Eddie Hearn expected AJ to blast klitschko out of there,,,the fact that he struggled makes me think Hearn doesn't want to risk AJ (yet) against anyone who he feels has a chance to take him out.

Funny thing is if he stuck with Golden Boy and fought Ustinov on the Canelo/Smith card, hed no doubt be the WBA Champion now. Fury got stripped the month after, Id imagine Ortiz would have been upgraded, or fought for the title in his next fight, long before Klitschko/Joshua was made.
