Arum is so predictable. He's said this about like 8 guys in a row probably now. He was just using this bs two weeks ago about Rigo. Broner, Rigo & now Mikey for sure just off the top of my head. And believe Waters even got dogged for wanting too much money to til apparently he didn't care about money once he accepted the fight yet seemingly needing more money after not boxing for a year or whatever.

F#cking promoters take a clue of what not to do to garner more fans of boxing via Arum. Just make f#cking fights. Quit taking about guys not under your promotion like they are greedy or suck or don't deserve fights while you are feeding us bs fights with the guys under contract to you.

Thissssssss. Arum is one of the least effective promoters at making the fights fans wanna see. And he seems to largely do it by making a mockery of fight talks with saying the same sh^t about every fighter.

      He wants too much money

      He doesn't deserve the fight

And this is all the while he's trying to get boxers to sign away options & 360 music type deals (thats the real reason Broner didn't take a career high payday for the Manny fight).

The guy is a 29 year old, two time gold medalist, who's already considered top 10 p4p. The time for building him up has passed. He'll be thinking about retiring in less than five years lol think about that for a second.
Loma needs to fight Mikey, but Rigo just won't happen. While Loma/Rigo is tasty to hardcore fans, it has a high possibility of being a stinker. Loma v Rigo isn't going to blow the doors off of any viewer stats, so where is the money going to come from ? Rigo is almost certain to demand more than the fight can pay - and would he accept Loma's 'winner takes all ?' offer ? If he did, then Arum would have a harder time torpedoing the fight, but that's the only way I can see it happening, if at all.

And really, what would be the point of fighting Rigo at 130 ? Watch Rigo now vs Rigo a couple of years back. Rigo has lost a step - he can still beat everyone at 122, and maybe even everyone at 126 - that's how good he is - but Loma at 130 simply isn't a fair fight given his size and that he's lost a step in recent years. The hypothetical fight we want is Rigo at his peak vs Loma at the right weight for Rigo, ie closer to 122 than 130. Ship sailed - lets move on (which is Mikey at 135......)

Incredible that he left TR supposedly not to ever deal with Arum again.
Here we are talking about Mickey wanting pieces of TR meat.
Incredible. The world has turned upside down now.
It's like leaving a company and want to use its resources.

This whole 9 fights thing is pretty amusing. The guy turned pro at 25 not 18 and is 29. Will he even fight 25 times before his career is over? So he stayed an amateur and developed his skill till he was 25. Same thing as a fighter who turns 18 and develops his skill by fighting lower tier fighters until he is ready to be matched tough a few years later. I seriously doubt Loma would have been a 2 time champ within 9 fights if he turn pro at 18 or 19. Is he skilled? Yes he's a great talent but people seem to forget he's 29. I see people praising Russell now that Loma beat him, but before he was the king of TBAs who hadn't beat anyone of note.

First 9 fights in the US (he's actually on his 16th fight as a paid professional) as a 29 year old career Olympian. Lets put things in context.
