It's not like that anymore. The Heavyweight division is back. It's not as good as the 90's but it's better than that dreaded Klitschko era and is on the way back and on the right track.
Wilder? Oh the same wilder who has never faced a world level opponent as champion?

Ortiz? The 50 year old with the resume of the prospect?

AJ of course has stepped up and will wipe the others out, when that happens you'll all be calling him boring too.

Good news! This is the best decision for Wlad and for boxing.

He's had a great career, and though he didn't go out with a win, after seeing him get up from a punch that would have KO'd a horse and come so close to beating AJ afterwards, nobody will ever say he had a glass chin and no heart again!

He still has a pretty poor chin but he always had heart. Got up in those early days too and famously 3 times against Peter in a forgotten but really good fight.

This must be music to deontay Wilder's ears, klitscko retires, Shannon Briggs gets busted for peds, 2 good potential opponents that could have exposed him, scratched off from the list...now he can continue defending his title against bums

Wlad had a great career, fighting whomever was available during his era. His last fight with AJ is arguably one of the best of his career and absolutely the best one that he lost. Time for the young bloods to step up and make HW boxing exciting again!

Well, you are going too far... Wilder would easily beat or KO current version of Wlad & Briggs... 90's Briggs would've been fun to watch against Wilder.
