I'm not sure why people think Conor is a complete scrub. He's not going to beat Floyd or even come close, but to think he couldn't be competitive with a guy like Paulie who would probably be a fringe top 20 guy at WW is a stretch.

Conor has been boxing for 15 years. A lot of pro sparring partners have a pretty weak/average record, and they give champs good work.

I'm not surprised at all by this.

Paulie's got head gear and getting hit by airbags. Floyd won't get so soft a landing. The take-away from Paulie's report is Conor can go 12 rounds, and not only that but finish the stronger. Paulie's now saying that Conor doesn't necessarily need to get Floyd out of there early to prevail. That's quite a substantial development.
