At least we can hope that all this talk will force Loma's team to take on a live dog for his next fight, this Marriaga fight didn't do him any favors, one more no hoper and I can see true fans turn on him.

Well thought out, good post

Everyone saying that Arum is going to protect Loma. If that was the case how come he had him in withSalido in his second fight? Then the big one .... any other T.R fighter would have been made to rebuild before going for another championship fight but at the risk of Loma going 1-2 on his record they put him in with Russell - seemingly a huge risk but Arum condoned it.
So all the indications are that Arum has huge confidence in Loma and/or Klimas and Team Loma have a special agreement to choose opponents.
So if you are team Loma and you can fight unification at 130 with Tank, Berchelt and Corrales OR move up and fight Garcia and/or Linares, well .... which are the bigger challenges and where is there more money? The only reason to stay at 130 is for the Rigo fight and while that would be great for legacy I don't see as much money there as there would be for a Linares or Garcia fight.
All of which is a long winded way to say that Garcia has much reason to stay at 135. He can hopefully fight both Linares and Loma before end of 2018. Meanwhile both fights can be built just a little. If Mikey got itchy feet he can look for special fights along the lines of Broner - maybe Figueroa, maybe CW with Danny, maybe Flanagan.
Right now he is a shooting star but like you I think fighting Crawford at 140 can see his star extinguished before he's made too much headway. I don't see Bud having any difficulty with anyone at 140 including Garcia or Loma if he ever dared. He is just too big and too good.

Arum didn't think Loma was going to need protection against Salido. Salido had 12 losses and looked worn. He was the gate keeper, the stepping stone. The big name, low risk, but he fooled them. Vasyl cemented Salido as an ATG instead.

It will likley come down to weight
Robert is smart, he names Lomachenko but you can guarantee he'll insist they fight at 140 and above. Salido roughed up, bullied Loma and Robert feels at a heavier weight Mickey could do the same, and then some.
Mickey is very good, he controls the distance with his jab and similar to Danny Garcia, Mickey has impeccable timing. Mickey studies how his opponents deal with his jab. He looks for habits, tendency's...some fighters lean-in, jump in, attempt to Jab with him or as in Broner's case just happy to survive.
Loma looks at Mickey and sees the Ax man, just another guy with timing and heavy hands. Nothing special, just bigger.
Make no mistake At 130, 135 Lomachenco takes Mickeys heart. At 140 Mickey has an excellent chance of wearing Loma down and catching him late.
Now some may argue that this is a Thurman/Danny II but Garcia was the smaller man and Danny doesn't have Mickeys jab.
Robert's very smart, he's banking on Loma's rather big ego to draw him into a fight at heaver weight class.
PS. As mentioned, Robert is very smart. You'll never see Mickey fight Crawford at 140 or any other weight...never.

* It's common knowledge that the fight you speak of had nothing to do with risk reward and even less to do with what Arum wanted.
* Lomachenko fights anyone he wants and preferably for a belts.
* Salido was only Lomachenko's 2nd fight as a pro.
Lastly, Lomachenko has on many occasions offered Salido a rematch for more money than Salido was been paid for his last 2 fights combined yet Salido still wants nothing to do with a rematch.
