CRAWFORD is champ at 140. Mikey should fight him!

It would be a great fight at 135. Wonder what weight Mikey has in mind. Probably a catch weight like 138. Either way the Loma haters will lash out--if he stays at 130 and waits on Rigo he is ducking Mikey, if he moves up to 135 for Mikey he is ducking Rigo. Can't win for losing.

I think Loma and Linares are the best fights for Mikey right now. Unless Loma blows Marriaga out, he isn't moving up to 135 any time soon. So Linares is most likely up next. Hopefully he doesn't get cut in his next fight.

I personally don't care to see Bud vs Mikey. Bud is the man at 140 and probably too big and too good for Garcia. And I'm still traumatized by the Postol fight and see Bud using that same style against any fighter he perceives as a threat.

I've been saying it for a while. Garcia-Loma is not happening anytime soon. They're going to let the fight build up a little.
I think Loma should be allowed to clean up 130 then move up.
There will be a lot of ducking accusations, from both sides especially Garcia's, but it will be pointless when the fight is made. So predictable.

At the earliest this fight happens late next year. I think that's a good timeline anyways. It's not super likely that both guys will be finished by late 2018/first half of 2019. If anything both will probably be better off and they have fights to keep them busy.

Mikey is that rare combination of Mexican grit/toughness meeting the technically elite. Imo his combination of size and fundamentals is too much for Loma.

Yes Loma is probably the most technically profincient fighter right now, but Mikey is right there and has the size and fundamentals to match. It's just a bad fight for Loma imo. Can't wait to see it.

Mikey doesn't need a catch weight. He's a 135 fighter. 140 will be reserved for the "big fights". He could venture to 147 late in his career.
