and that's good. It's about time fighters started doing this. But my point was that he also benefitted from their corruption in the past. Right now Fernando vargas should still hold the distinction of being the youngest ever champion at 154. He beat a credible champion in campas for the belt. Canelo was given the opportunity to break that record by winning vacant title and his hand selected opponent was a dude that wasn't even a top ranked welter weight. Is that not corrupt??

Who the phuk cares this is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. The fact there are so many belts has devalued the word champion. WBC just ranked and mandated a fight this weekend with a 1 legged bum who came into the ring with and existing injury. And made Mikey vs broner for a diamond belt when we already have a unification to determine the undisputed 140lb champ wouldn't that fight be a better one to hand out the 140 diamond belt? But they didn't because the WBC is already involved in that fight and collecting a fee. They put it up for a guy who fights at welterweight against a light weight so they could collect a new fee and get their name in a fight that should have nothing to do with them. Phuk the WBC.

There is no way a fighter who has trained their entire career to become champion should have to pay fees for holding a belt or be forced into unnecessary purse bids. I'm glad Canelo stood his ground.

The WBC has a rule that says current champions of other organizations cannot be ranked in the WBC's rankings yet golovkin, who was WBA and IBF champion, somehow was mandatory to the WBC belt...

You will be here all day if you point out all the ways the WBC breaks their own rules and shady as phuk. But at this point they on some stalking shyt with canelo and keep trying to get involved in his fights and begging him to take your belt when he's made it clear he's not fighting for your belts.
