So for example I'd bet Ramirez is getting more for fighting fellow TR fighter Hart then he'd get paid for fighting a perceived better non-TR fighter. Idk that for a fact, but thats my assumption cuz TR guys rarely fight risky fights out of house it seems.

And honestly for TR thats how you do business nothing else considered. Boxing fans are gonna watch boxing regardless if its the best fight you can make or the 11th best fight you can make.

And this is why nothing is every gonna work out great for boxing long term til there is some real power structure in boxing thats looking out for boxing. Everyone is looking out for their own best interest & fighters got lil reason to go against the grain as long as the dollars make sense.

Top Rank absolutely does operate like that, and always has

Mayweather accused Arum of lying about fights

Pacquiao accused Arum of lying about fights

Cotto accused Arum of lying about fights

Mikey Garcia accused Arum of lying about fights

every promoter in the business has accused Arum of lying about fights

he completely faked a negotiation back in 2010 in order to obtain a date and funding for the Margarito fight, as confirmed by Michael Marley who wrote the expose'

after being caught blatantly lying, Arum said this.....
Yesterday I was Lying, today I am telling the truth.

you were not describing Bob Arum in your post

Arum makes the fight he wants, or you sit on the shelf

did you not see what happened regarding Jeff Horn ?

You'll get no complaints from me. Personally, Mikey is one of my favorite boxers and I think far too many people are still sleeping on him and his skills.

Showtime/CBS (HBO is in it's own world), have seemingly been willing to spend $3m on the broadcast rights for a fight. The only fighters currently in the sport who can't get their purse and build a show off of that are Floyd, Canelo, Pacquiao, maybe Anthony Joshua (will depend on how much that bump in the value of the US rights is offset by the UK TV being super early/late and the difference in the live gate), and maybe Andre Ward.

Every other fight in the sport, right now anyway, can be had without PPV
Yep. Everybody including fighters have to deal with that reality. Fight 4 times A year to build a big name and then money will begin to rise again in the sport. Ppl like keith thurman and danny garcia etc fight as though they are boxing royalty and go out 1 or 2 times a year and hey thats up to them. But they wont ever be a name anybody knows that aint already a boxing fan. Someone lime errol spence and crawford could be stars like de la hoya, shane mosley, felix trinidad etc if they can push for fighting 4x a yr also. And it isnt like they would have to have huge hard fights everytime out either. Those others i named fought pretty often, especially de la hoya and sometimes it was against top opponents and then theyd throw in some tough but not expected to win fighters with them and it just kept name out there and ppl watched them multiple times a yr and they became pretty much household names. Thurman, garcia, spence, jacobs, charlo, porter, etc has the talent to do the same

I don't see any problem making Garcia vs Lomachenko for both fighters' next fight.
I think this fight is on the bag. It will happen.
