We should know The Bobfather is not going to help pay guys who leave him. We've seen this before, once you leave you get sued for years, smeared in the media and won't get any fights against his guys no matter what. Bob's like "You tried to slow down my money, now you want to beat my guys too? F"ck you! Go away!

Hilarious! Didn't Pacquiao just fight Horn? Who is Lomachenko's next opponent? I can't remember his name.

Wont be surprise to see robert take all his future fighters to GBP now.
Golden Boy doesn't have the juice on TV for that to make sense; if anything, I see Robert Garcia having all of the fighters that he works with fight out there respective deals, form an advisory/management company for all of the fighters with him, and then shop the entire package and Mikey Garcia to whomever has the most interest.

Mikey Garcia has a real strong relationship with Showtime now; if he keeps on winning, he'll be a $2m fighter in short order, with the chance for PPV if the matchup captures the imagination of the public (imo, I believe that the days of PPV boxing being a regular thing are over for all but the truly massive fights; Mikey will likely see his purses start to launch as he becomes an event-level ticket attraction).

Not sure how far along the rest of the other fighters are, but if Mikey's deal comes with 3-4 ShoBox dates, with spots on the non-TV portion of these big PBC shows and the occasional look on ShoBox, RGBA will be just fine.

Take a look at the business results of some of the boxers that left Top Rank. That list includes De La Hoya, Mayweather and Cotto. Can't blame Mikey for wanting to control his own career.

Once they all left, they made incredible money compared to what they got with The Bobfather. Just a shame that he lost those 2 1/2 years getting out of there but it looks like he's going to stay very active which is great to see for us fans.

              As it should be, tbh.

Showtime/CBS (HBO is in it's own world), have seemingly been willing to spend $3m on the broadcast rights for a fight. The only fighters currently in the sport who can't get their purse and build a show off of that are Floyd, Canelo, Pacquiao, maybe Anthony Joshua (will depend on how much that bump in the value of the US rights is offset by the UK TV being super early/late and the difference in the live gate), and maybe Andre Ward.

Every other fight in the sport, right now anyway, can be had without PPV

It seems like all the best fighters to sign with TR use it has a stepping stone to go on to bigger and better things. I wonder what might happen with Conlan down the line.

Doesn't sound like they want to work with him. Just an angry PR stunt I think. Also I always laugh when these promoters say their guys never duck anyone. Especially when it's Top Rank and they hardly ever co-promote big fights

Garcia's not gonna get fights with Top Rank guys, i'm sure.
