Sounds to me like you think Slick=Black Fighter and that is not the case at all! Slick is a STYLE!

Boner is a Pot Shot Counter Puncher! That is ALL HE DOES LITERALLY!

      Rigondeaux is slick:

      Lomachenko is slick:

      Broner is NOT:
dont like to be rude starting to get irritated now how people dont seem to understand this. yes loma and rigo are better fighters, of course, but broner is still a slick fighter. You can be slick and not elite, same way you can be a pressure fighter whos a bum with a 0-10 record. Its your style, broner is a slick fighter but hes not very good at it, just cause hes hittable when hes doing the shoulder roll etc doesnt mean he doesnt possess that style. You seem to equate being slick to being the best fighters in the game, its nonsense theres styles at all levels of the sport.

Defensive guys aren't slick they are defensive, they aren't really turning defense into offense especially in a way that is tricking a professional prize fighter. Broner certainly isn't slick he is athletic with fast hands, he should be trying to get off first rather than waiting because he does not move well from defense to offense or offense to defense.

It is why a really slick guy will make a world class guy look foolish because it is really a different level and they just do stuff that is not something a guy will even comprehend.

So IF a world class fighter can be tricked and fooled by fighter, how is a fan going to really comprehend and understand other than have an open mind and try to get it not wedge it in some neat little box which is not slick at all.

If it's what you wrote then that is not the definition of a "slickster". Gambler has the correct response.

Seems like you're being defiant of the facts just to go back and forth with someone. Sorry I don't have time to play those games. Go learn more about the sport of boxing then comeback and we can have this conversation

You clearly have ZERO understand of what Slick means, so much so that you're literally trying to make every agree with your definition of SLICK!

Slick-(of an action or thing) done or operating in an impressively smooth, efficient, and apparently effortless way.

No Broner is not slick at all. He does not transition well from offense to defense or defense to offense. He can defend I guess at an adequate level and he can be on offense which is his better phase. He can't turn defense into offense and he can't turn his offense back into defense. He is not really tricky at all, even though he has some tricks.

If a guy can't attack and defend at the same time they aren't slick, if they can't trick high end fighters they aren't slick.

Broner can't trick anyone, he has some talent and he attempts to but if a guy can't do something at all trying is not really doing. Name me the last time Broner fooled a prize fighter? When he played dead for 11 rounds against Porter and nailed him in round 12? If you have to set a trap for 11 rounds something is not right.

That is true there are lots of styles and someone can find some to suit them and be plenty effective, but some are harder to achieve than other and being slick is one of the highest end complements you can actually give a fighter because they are able to trick and make pro fighters at a high level look like fools.

Slick really isn't a style either it is just a thing a guy can be because a guy can be slick on offense or slick on defense, or a mix of both.
