He says hes slick himself, hopkins says he can outslick an opponent, malignaggi says hes a slick fighter. Wtf do u actually watch in the ring, of course hes a slick fighter hes jsut not elite.

Slicksters are fighers who are HARD TO HIT FLUSH basically and also hard to time because you just don't know what they will do in the ring. Broner has never been either! Broner Shoulder Roll sucks and he doesn't let his hands go, still doesn't have a consistent jab and he literally just waits to try and land that Left Hook OVER AND OVER AND OVER!

It seems like all you have to do to be called slick is be African American. I was surprised to see people say Pacquiao beat a slick black fighter when he beat Bradley.

I don't think there's any top slick fighters today. Loma, Ward, Crawford are extremely athletic but not what I think of when I think of a slick fighter.

Hopkins, Whitaker, Chris john, and Locche are the type of fighters I think of as being slick.

After broners loss to garcia, looking through the pound for pound list and thinking about the top fighters in each division, there seems to be a lack of elite fighters with the true 'slick style', whereas in previous years it used to be the hallmark of some of the top fighters in the sport.

It seems as if the name of the game now is about smart intelligent pressure fighting which seems to counter this style effectively.

To me this seems a good thing, having offensively minded fighters at the top of the game surely results in better fights.

So are we seeing this style being phased out? And why is this?

There is so much footage of Broner sparring talking trash about how they cant hit him, while he is getting drilled nonstop.

He has never been slick, not even in the gym.

Its not like he is slick vs lesser fighters but against the best he just gets hit a lot.

He gets hit a lot by literally everyone.

As for there not being any slicksters in the sport?

Rigo, Lara, Ward, Loma, Crawford. There are quite a few.
