Ok see that's what I'm talking about thanks. I doubt canelo is dumb enough to be on the ropes with a heavy handed fighter like ggg. The Reynosos aren't no dummies they will have him ready. It's just so much to think about and do many ways that this fight can play out.. either we see a new wrinkle in canelos game that will see him through to a win, or ggg has his way. And why did that happen? Canelo vwouldn't fight him and Eubanks wouldn't sign the contract. Everyone acting like this was the fight Golovkin wanted is lying. Two things also, Brook really had no business fighting at 147lbs against Spence. He was simply too big by then. Credit to him for defending the belt and massive props to Spence for going on the road and winning. I'm not saying Brook is a MW but 154lbs to 160lbs looks a lot more reasonable. Golovkin is not a huge MW, somewhere in the middle to small end for the division. So yes Golovkin was bigger but there was no monster size difference in the ring between those two. And to Golovkin's credit, he acknowledged right after the fight that Brook was no MW once he felt his punches. Golovkin didn't try to build up his opponent, he was in fact brutally honest.

Right but usually he will go to the ropes to take a breather and on this particular fight with jr, I don't think he needed a breather because he was even standing in between rounds, he claimed he did it so jr could engage and Try to give the fans a show. That's what he says but, we will find out soon. That ain't gonna be a good ideas with ggg and I don't think he will need to do that to have ggg engage. Canelo should have a plan. He saw what Brook and Jacobs did and he should be able to build off that success and get a points win. Either that or that cute **** on the ropes gets him hurt. Bad.

I'm sure Canelo has a plan. Is it the right plan? What's that about everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face? IMO there really are a lot of questions that we just won't know until we see them in the ring.

What I don't see is Canelo fighting fundamentally any different than what he has done in the past. That means he'll be in front of Golovkin. He doesn't have the ability nor the mindset to fight like Jacobs or Brook. He lacks the footwork to do that and I don't think the conditioning either. There is no Apollo Creed who is going to be running with him on the beach.

I also don't think Canelo has the mindset to engage in a phone booth battle. I don't see him staying inside and battling it out in that type of fight. If there are two types of fighters that I could see giving Golovkin a problem, it is a boxer who can stick and move or a guy who can fight effectively in close quarters and has a size advantage. Even when Canelo knew that was his only shot against Mayweather he was intent on staying on the outside and trying to outbox Floyd. It was literally one of the worst game plans I've seen going into a fight. In sum I guess I've yet to see a whole lot of variation in Canelo's plan. The style he brings IMO is perfectly suited to where Golovkin wants to fight.

I think the jab will be very telling. If Golovkin establishes the jab I think it will be a blow out for Golovkin. If Canelo can neutralize it then it is going to be a super close fight. That's how I see it.
