Cotto was always going to fight Canelo next, whether GGG accepted the step aside money or not. Cotto paid him off because he knew that holding the WBC title would give him extra leverage in his negotiations with GBP. That's why Oscar threatened to sue him when he relinquished the title after the negotiations had been concluded.,

I agree with Spence, but for one major different reason. I think Canelo's elusiveness while standing right in front of a guy & countering off of those missed shots by his opponents will be a major key in him coming out on top.

GGG is vastly overrated and usually fights guys who do not fight back Granted Jacobs fought back hard and did well. Canelo will beat the overrated GGG off a decision. Canelo is younger and faster and quicker with a big heart and courage which was lacking in most of GGG's opponents. Commies always give up when pressed hard. FACT

Overhyped? Maybe, overrated? I don't think so...he's an Olympic silver medalist, world championship gold medalist and has an excellent amateur pedigree, and so far been unbeatable in the Mw division.

I've boxed at amateur level like many on here have am sure, trust me you don't get that far on hype and being overrated it takes skill, desire, discipline and dedication.
