I think he was already dealing with an issue and something happened to phuk it up right before the fight because he looked terrible in the weigh in video couldn't even walk up steps. So how the phuk did he pass a physical or not get flagged by the commission just off the shape he was in the day before at the weigh in? Let alone the fact that he tried to wear a wrap on his bum knee into the ring and was told by the athletic association to take it off. They knew he was injured and let the fight happen anyway because of what was at stake for Charlo and not wanting to scrap a co-main event the night before. So they all looked the other way and let a bum that had no business being the number 1 ranked come and fight with 1 leg. Shame on the WBC for the ranking him and shame on everyone in NY that had a hand in looking away.

I don't see how he could have passed the physical prior to the fight. Even before the weigh in, you can see in this training clip that he cannot use his left leg properly. Reports in Argentina are saying that he has torn ligaments in his knee.

regarding the media workout, Heiland's movement was cautious. He probably tore the knee, similar to Martinez or Yuri Foreman type injuries.
