He doesn't throw nearly enough shots, he gasses at times, he's not hard to counter and hit, other fighters lost respect for him and don't fear him 1 bit and are starting to come at him...all those add up to a guy with extremely low punch output, easy to say he's shot but I don't think he is. Still a top 10 fighter but not elite and needs to stay at 140. New trainer to.

He's a stunted fighter he was protected to much and rewarded by Haymon and golden boy with to much money and positioned to become champion against the lowest of opposition. He believed all the hype that he was the next mayweather then maidana came along and ****d him shattered his illusion of himself.

Its a weird thing with Broner. I think he almost sets himself up for failure in his biggest fights. He virtually gave away the early portions of the fights with Porter & Garcia only to look much better later & fought in a way that if he had fought that way the whole fight the outcome would have been closer or even going Broner's way. Even in the Maidana fight he had some of his best moments in the fight after he got embarrassed with knockdowns.

The guy is kinda a reluctant warrior with some sorta mental block or something idk, but he's for sure not shot.

his problem is dude wannabe safety first like big brother but can't really add some counterpunches in the mix.

I don't think he is any worse now than he always was. He never was that good. He was and is just a better than average fighter was carefully matched and given lots of breaks and chances to win titles against weak opponents. He has never been among the top 5 boxers in any weight class he has been in and that won't change. He does poorly under pressure and has always had a low punch output per round.

No, he needs a personality transplant. He's got to change his style of life. He needs to start getting serious and focus on his livelihood. He has eleven mouths to feed. If he doesn't do it for himself, then he can at least do it for the children he has fathered.

Boxing is no joke. If he is unwilling to totally commit and dedicate his life to it, then I would rather than he just retire before he risks serious and permanent long term damage to his health.

I remember the old Broner used to walk his opponents down while backing them up in the shoulder roll position, as he would unleash a barrage of combination punches and flurries on them. He doesn't do that now. Nowadays he's fighting with that high guard defense and throwing even less punches then before while fighting off the back foot.

He just mixing with better fighters now. Hes not shot. How old is he? Has he had as many wars as Pac or other fighters?
Everything he seemingly cant do now is cos the fighters are better and he cant do what his mind would like to do.

Hell most guys don't even fight in 4 divisions at a high level in their whole career.

I can understand people dogging Broner, but to act like he's not of above average talent is wayyyyyy underselling him.
Didn't mean he wouldn't get ANY attention, he would have still been a top prospect. But it was the floyd association that led to all the premature "next fighter of the decade" proclamations.

I remember seeing an interview where even Dana White was raving about how he doubts Adrien Broner will ever lose a boxing match, he's floyd 2.0 updated, etc.

Modern Day Zab Judah. Some fighters choked in the biggest fights of their careers.

No. Broner has always been this way. It's just even more amplified when he faces top opposition. But he's always had issues pulling the trigger. I mean we're talking about the same motherf**ker who was getting tuned up by GAVIN REES, lmao. Yes obviously Broner would ultimately go on to stop Rees' midget ass but I remember people being kinda stunned at the success that an incredibly over matched Rees was having against Broner. His defenders said it was because he was "letting" Rees get off but looking back...that was the same Broner we see today. Just like the Broner we saw that threw some 300 less punches than Malignaggi in their fight.

He is what he is. He's not shot and a new trainer isn't going to suddenly transform him. It's not about a lack of training and not taking **** seriously. He's just a limited fighter at the end of the day. He likes to fight when he wants to fight and when his opponent brings the fight to him his only response is to shell up and shake his head no. And offer minimal to zero return fire. He ain't no bum obviously but he also clearly has (and never will) be an A fighter.
