    Yep.

If they could box, they would. That's where the real money is if you can reach a high level. They can't, so they don't. They don't even attempt it.

Conor McGregor wouldn't even attempt it if it wasn't for the huge payday he's getting. If he genuinely believes he can beat a guy as good as Floyd, he would have tried boxing already.

Jones is a physical specimen, a fantastic athlete, and for my money, likely the best MMA fighter ever. He is a guy that imo is the type that if he would of focused on just about any kind of sport, he would of likely excelled. Two of his brother's are NFL players, the dude comes from some fantastic genetics. That said, he gets killed in a boxing ring at this point if he tried to transition.

Could you post some proof of that? Quotes directly from him, videos, etc.

What does that even mean? WTF is an athlete? I mean I know what it is, but idiots have given the term some mystical powers....the most misused term in sports.

This guy was a world class athlete

          So is this guy

I guess these guys could "transition" into boxing easy cause they are world class athletes right?

Now tell me, makes Jones more of an "athlete" above the other two?

Who has Jones ever knocked out or even dropped with a punch on his feet?

He's a world class athlete doe, so he'll transition easy

Your boy Hagler there, he looks like a world class athlete, I bet he could transition to marathons, wrestling and power lifting easy...throw in tennis as well.

Jones is the best MMA fighter in the world, but honestly, even Conor is a better boxer than Jones.

Jones has size and a very long reach even for his height. But his boxing technique is terrible and he has very little punching power. His TKOs were caused by knees or elbows, I can't remember him hurting anyone initially with a punch.

He doesn't have good head movement and he looks very sloppy and awkward throwing punches. His strengths are his wrestling/submissions and he has more of a Muay Thai stand up base than boxing.

Boxing isn't a game. Didn't he get out struck on his feet by that Sweedish guy and DC won the first two rounds against him last time out. You take away his leg kicks and leave him with just punches... he'll get f**ked up

Yea but....yea, but his world class athleticism will put him on equal footing with likes of AJ and Wilder.

Just playing....need to have some fun in the morning.

Even though Jones is a beast and a great MMA fighter boxing is his weakness and he doesn't have KO power whatsoever.

Jones stand up relies on measuring distance, spinning elbows on the inside, knees and kicks, utilizing his reach and size advantage over other light heavyweights. Jones style is also awkward BUT his boxing is quite horrible. Every time I see Jones fight I always think what if Jones had good hands? He'd be so much more devastating.

Jones has absolutely no chance against top level boxers in a boxing match. Cormier would beat Jones in a straight up boxing match. Alex Gustafsson would box circles around Jones and make him look silly. Gustafsson comes from boxing and is by far the best boxer in the LHW so he would have the best chance to make some noise in boxing.

Jones is an incredible athlete and could've been a world class wrestler and I can see him do well in BJJ and even Muay Thai but definitely not boxing
