nah, that won't be a factor at all
among top fighters, power is horribly over-rated
and neither of those guys have 1-punch power
Canelo has more than enough "powah doe" to keep GGG honest
speed/skills/timing/defence/technique ALL > power
that fight will be a boxing match, and the best fighter will win

Your right about about it being a Young mans game but that didn't stop a 36 year old mayweather from schooling canelo did it? Or a 41 year old wlad nearly getting on top of AJ.
Canelo is not Jacobs and I think people are looking to much into that fight (I'm not saying you are) , I mean Jacobs would give canelo even more fits for sure.
hold on.....
Golovkin is NOT Mayweather, and Wlad did not win
also..... NOBODY suggested that Jacobs could beat Canelo before Danny fought Golovkin
either Danny is better than everyone thought, or Golovkin aint as good as everyone thought..... or, a little bit of both
we will find that out come September, but I can tell you for sure that it was a little bit of both
and Canelo does not need to fight like Jacobs to beat Golovkin
..... what, there is only one way to beat Golovkin, and Danny Jacobs just happened to figure out the blueprint?
Canelo will be right in that fight..... and if Golovkin tires, he will get lit up like a christmas tree

Your right neither has one punch power and I'm well aware power is not the be all and end all at world level.
There are multiple ways to beat Golovkin but standing centre of the ring with static feet is not the way either. (I will happily come here and admit I'm wrong if canelo wins)
A fighter with a good inside game can beat Golovkin e.g. Andre Ward, a boxer who uses circular movement while getting quickly in and out of range can also have success e.g. Jacobs/Charlo maybe?
Canelo does neither of these things and he also has bad habits like sitting on the ropes for rest breaks (not to counter punch like his fanboys say that's bs)
Also I'm aware ggg is not mayweather I simply that used that as an example to show your "it's a young mans game"
Theory is not always black and white...of course wlad didn't win but he gave AJ a world of problems and could of took him out for sure if he stepped on the has more.
Danny is an elite fighter would make short work of canelo imo (all wrong for him in every department)
So what if no one fought Jacobs would win....this is boxing upsets and surprise outcomes have been happening for over a 100 years lol.Last edited by cally93; 08-02-2017, 02:15 AM.

excellent !
Canelo has outstanding defence..... but the real problem for Golovkin is that he is slooooow, and Canelo has superb timing
Bradley said from ringside that he couldn't believe how slow Golovkin was, and Spence commented that he had no snap on his punches after about the 4th round
and, way to go Danny..... from victim, to elite..... in 1 fight
don't wear a red t-shirt when you watch that fight
enjoy the fight bro, best of luck to both guys

He has great head/upper body movement but his static feet still mean he's there to be hit...good body work with some variation will put a stop to that.
In terms of Jacobs, lol I get what you mean but I haven't been coming on this forum long so I can't speak for others but I've always rated him...he's also got excellent amateur pedigree..he's no slouch (even though I did think Golovkin would stop him)
Haha but yeah mate I'll happily laugh and joke with you on here if I'm wrong ;-) we can't always get them right.

why was Golovkin so quiet down the stretch when his corner were telling him to let his hands go?
vs Danny Jacobs, my guess is that
1) letting your hands go vs. a bigger and faster guy who is sticking and moving is tricky af, have you even tried that w/ head gear on? maybe you right tho, it could have been a lack of stamina
in either case GGG was the clear winner in a competitive fight...DJ didn't come to win, he came to survive...you could tell by his reaction after the final bell...
