    Best of luck in retirement to a real warrior and fighter. Was hoping we would get a rematch between Miura and Uchiyama before both retired. Pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever.

        Takashi Uchiyama, the former WBA super featherweight champion, announced his retirement on Saturday, wrapping up his illustrious professional career. Uchiyama, who posted a 24-2-1 record, closed his fighting career with back-to-back losses to Panama's Jezreel Corrales - which ended up being his only professional defeats - in Tokyo last year.

                  Thanks to them for some good fights. Miura one of my favorite little guys to watch. Had the heart of a giant and his fight with vargas was just awesome. Good luck to them both

                    Smart move, too many wars for Miura.

                    And the shelf life for fighters below 135 is very short.
