I mean, he lost though and it wasn't no robbery. Best case scenario, similar to Kovalev-Ward I, is you can argue Jacobs made it a totally tied, even fight on punches through 12 rounds, in which case the tiebreakers you look to first to decide a winner are (1) that GGG came forward all night, (2) that GGG got the only knockdown, and (3) that GGG was the champion.

And that's best case scenario for Jacobs. More realistically, GGG already won just looking at more, cleaner punches, and you don't even need to look at that other criteria to judge who won.

In other words he expects Canelo to stay inside his punching range so he could hit him.

Jacobs actually moved less than some of his other opponents that went into full retreat when he started landing.

Golovkin didn't land cleaner punches. The KD might have played a factor but that was the only significant thing Golovkin did in the fight. He was out of elements against Jacobs. He was tentative and unsure what to do against a big middle weight with as much punching power as he had. Jacobs played into the judges hand by pressing the fight more but this was a victory to secure the Canelo fight. Jacobs did enough to win and Golovkin with the KD made it easy for the judges to award the decision to him. The Kovalev had more of a case for winning with his KD of Ward.

enough "fire" to win in the eyes of the majority and put Jacobs wearing dark shades at post presser to hide that swollen left eye. Ggg didn't have a mark on him...unlike after Brooks fight.

This should be a great fight. GGG finally getting the big fish he has always wanted. He has to make a statement and finish Canelo, otherwise he stands to lose a decision. The cash cow will most likely get the nod if it comes to the final bell. And he has already been on the gift end of those decisions a couple times.

Canelo and Golovkin have debatable wins... More stuff this forum needs to go over some more. People are ok with the Lara one because his style is repellent...

Why not? It worked for Jacobs.

At some point during the fight GGG will hit Canelo with a good shot and Canelo will hit the canvas. After this event, Canelo will raise to the occasion and box his way out to a decision or GGG will win by stoppage or KO.

He has exactly what GGG needs for a KO. No power, stationary and short.

Little Red will have to go into seclusion after his frail ego is splintered.
you're European, so I'll let it slide. If you think Canelo has no power, you'll be in for a huge surprised Sept 16th. Canelo will dominate GGG with counter and combinations. He might even stop him in the late rounds.

works so good he got his 2nd loss and a pair of dark shades to hide his swollen left eye afterwards.
