Yes it is a martial art. Any skill that requires your body to physically defend yourself can be considered a martial art. And think of all the philosophical quotes made by fighters, trainers, and even commentators.
Boxing is also a way of life for some men and women. That's a true martial art.Comment

Any form of combat that uses more than 2 techniques is considered a martial art.It doesnt have to a sport or not.Traditional arts like karate is basically useless in sport in defining the art itself bc its desighned to subdoe or hurt someone using any means neccessary.
Boxing is a simple art structure where one will use the same thing basically in a real fight as they do in a ring bc thats what they are conditioned to do...the goal is knock out the person while not getting hit with just hand strikes to the head.a traditional art or fight system prepares for anything goes scenarios.Comment
