Actually the answer maybe in the article, rumours of Ward signing with Top Rank, article says hes expected back in the fall. Winner of this fight becomes Ward mandatory.

Yeah, you're probably right, this will end up as a headliner. Arum did say his guys would be busier now though, so maybe they bring back someone like Lomachenko for a fight in a couple months. But yeah, more than likely this will be a main event

I'm sure Andre Ward will be leaving ROC Nation and sign with Top Rank. He along with J. Prince and J. Dubin already have a good relationship with Arum, since they got Shakur Stevenson to sign with Top Rank. So perhaps this purse bid was so that Ward could fight Beterbiev at a later date?

Good deal. Betterbiev is fun to watch. To bad about how his careers been. These guys sign to these crap promotional companies and it usually screws them. Hate it for any of them in that situation but maybe this is the light at the end of the tunnel

I believe so too. But i dont think he is even ready for ward and by the time he gets a fee more fights under his belt ward will be retired or at cruiserweight or hw. Imo
