The scheduled fight ( whoever) is less than a month away..i dont know what ppl expect? He also has to sell the fight and that meaans an american is preferred.

The Asian guy fights out of Arizona & martz is a yank too. Long lives in NZLD now & mostly fights in the Asian pacific region. Fighting Grant makes sense especially on short notice. I think people are disappointed that the Wach fight fell through & after all the back & forth trash talk between him & Wilder we get an 8 round fight vs Grant. He needs a fight & on short notice Grant is a name people recognize even if he is washed up.

LOL yes it is... To be fair to Grant he broke his ankle or dislocated his knee on that punch. He wasn't knocked out by McCline but that was the beginning of the end for him. Between the Lennox fight & the year it took to recover from the McCline injury he never got his drive back. There was almost a 3 year gap & when he came back he beat a few journeymen. His trainer Teddy Atlas told him he should hang it up after his fight with Gilbert Martinez because he didn't have the drive anymore. He didn't & he got dropped numerous times by Dominick Guinn his next fight. He had a decent win over Tye Fields & an aging Frans Botha since that period but he has pretty much been just an aging name for guys to add to the resume.
