Lol.....idiot. I'm not interested in if he has declined in the two years off .I am saying the fight is ridiculous and not worthy of the money involved. The rest you'll have to try and work out for yourself.

Probably correct about this. If Floyd came out of retirement to fight Thurman people would say he's scared of Spence & Horn lol. If he fought Horn people would say he's scared of Thurman & Spence. And if he fought Spence people would say he's scared of Horn & Thurman. Floyd honestly can't really win when he has so many hater fans so its intelligent to just go after the biggest money play that pops up.

Besides that, a lot of people have always wondered how a boxer would do against an MMA fighter and vice versa. That, and the huge fan bases both guys have is what has made the fight big. Hardcore boxing fans might not like it, but a huge percentage of the general public does. Every day I get someone talking to me about it, just in my day-to-day life. And it's been going on for months and months.
Yep. This is an event. And sometimes events turn out to be great, okay or awful. But the main things events do is engage a lot of people & this fight has done that & the results of that engagement are still to be determined regardless of what boxing fans think. It might end up being Guardians of the Galaxy or it might end up being another sh^tty Transformers movie. Or it might even be in the middle. But people acting like this is a L already on the entertainment side of thing don't know wtf they are talking about.

You are stating the obvious .I am or was actually a supporter of Mayweathers great skill set and would be absolutely made up if he had Errol Spence in the opposite corner but the truth is Mayweather is not up to that challenge and wouldn't be paid anywhere near the crazy sum he's getting for a far easier opponent who has NEVER laced them up as a professional boxer .

Floyd beats Conor in a boxing match hands down.

its going to do a lot of damage to the sport and a lot of damage to mayweathers reputation. boxing is still seen as the big brother of mma with its rich history, and its boxing that will take the damage for this circus fight being made.

i dont think thats true. a small minority would criticise him but thats the case with many fighters, the best fighters usually have hardcore critics. if he came out of retirement and beat spence or thurman to get that 50-0 he would get serious praise. And thats what a fighter with aspirations to be 'TBE' would have done, ended on a challenge and put the cherry on top of his career. In my opinion the way hes seen out his career against berto and mcgregor is absolutely pathetic, and if he was just about big pay packets he would have fought someone better than berto. Hes limped his way to the 50 mark.

Isn't Mayweather a mentor to Spence? He's been sparring with him since 2013 so let's be real that was never gonna happen. Floyd was only ever gonna come back for $100 million plus and even though hardcore boxing fans like us crave those fights and know they'd be more competitive, the general public doesn't care about them at this point. We know Floyd's gonna win, but seeing a boxer vs MMA fighter is gonna be interesting. Plus it's not like Conor can't box, he's been knocking people out and is even though he's an MMA fighter his stand-up is by far his strongest attribute. It won't be close, but it'll be fun to watch for sure.

I just hope it's not over too quick. As long as it goes 6-9 rounds and Conor has a "moment" and it's entertaining i'm happy. It's not like you gotta pay for it. What more do people want from Mayweather he's fought like 25 world champs, at this point he can do what he wants. He's had nothing for prove for a while.

As if a fight with anyone else would be better!!! Floyd literally swept the floor with Canelo who is now fighting against the #1 P4P boxer currently. 😂😂😂😂😂

The disrespect for Berto... Smh! 2x world champion...
Thurman means nothing to Floyd's resume. Wouldn't even be a big event. Worth no money at all. Thurman isn't and most likely won't be a hall of famer. Floyd made the wisest decision to everyone but Floyd detractors

If Floyd had chosen Thurman, Spence, Lara, Charlo, etc, of course he'd receive universal acclaim for taking on a challenge for his 50-0. Instead, we get the same formula that describes Floyd's last several events: no-hope opponent bore-fests (except May-Pac which was simply a dud). Floyd is astute enough to realize that had he chosen another Berto, boxing fans would have rejected the PPV. So he's going to **** the wallets of delusional MMA fans this one time and then go sip a cold one under a palm tree in the Ba*****.

I just hope he KOs McGregor so the paying fans get something in return. Because the reverse is just not happening.
