Saint wouldn't you rather see Glen Johnson and Adamek go at it? That fight has war written all over it.

why yes i would. but adamek (much to my dismay) is locked in a legal battle with don king (king didnt live up to his end of the contract, didnt give adamek any fights).

      back to calzaghe:

joe frazier, tommy loughran, arturo gatti, danny williams, max baer, and many many others. you know what these fighters have in common?

they have all won fights with the use of only ONE hand!

but apparently, calzaghe just doesnt think hes good enough to do that.

not against an opponent of Glen Johnson's caliber. chill out about it, man. we're all pissed, but Calzaghe has a history of brittle hands. and as a matter of fact, he has won at least one fight with only one hand. I believe it was his bout right before Lacy, Evans Ashira.

Of course. And yeah, sometimes fighters injure a hand in a fight and go on to win (as Joe has), even in the Lacy fight he said he hurt his hands mid-way through, but to expect a fighter to go into a fight with an injured or broken hand? Cmon, nothing handicaps a fighter worse than that. You can't cut on him for postponing the fight. For maybe not taking the proper precautions to protect his hands in training, maybe yeah, but not for not wanting to defend his championship against a tough fighter severly handicapped.

Jesus Christ, he has brittle hands. De La Hoya had no the same problem and corrected it. Mayweather had the same problem and corrected it. Calzaghe will correct it as well, although he's probably only going to fight 2-3 more years.
