No, I read it correctly. He could have fought him NEXT but he's fighting someone else. I think he can beat Rigondeaux but he doesn't act like he's confident he can.Comment

"Next" is used in context. If a fighter has a signed fight, next means after that, not before that. Kind of like if on last Wednesday I said next Saturday I will go out to dinner it means the following Saturday, not this Saturday. But again, it didnt take him this long as you suggested. He was ready in 2015. Anyway....Last edited by richardt; 07-22-2017, 06:04 PM.Comment

Forget context. If he wants to fight him then fight. As good as Lomachenko is he should be willing to fight anyone, anytime. I don't expect to hear "business talk" when it's convenient because it doesn't take him that long to fight people that have no hope of beating him.Comment

You're right it takes 2. They're both doing the same thing but you're putting it all on Rigondeaux because he hasn't reached out. They're both trying to make this a PR battle rather than sitting down and negotiating. Lomachenko has an entire network behind him, a proven promoter with a long history of making fights, but I get it. It's all Rigondeaux's faultComment
