Ward just got to LHW, no need to test the waters at HW just yet. Make that test a career finale.

Kovalev's next opponents should be refs, judges, and Bob Arum.

I'd pull for Barrera, who seems to be a likable guy with an entertaining style, but I think the Kovalev matchup may be wrong for him unless Kovalev is mentally wrecked (which is a possibility). Ward won the 2nd fight by applying mental and physical pressure on a fighter who got frustrated, fatigued, beaten and ultimately wilted. Ward essentially ground him into submission that second fight. Barrera seems to be a power boxer. With Kovalev's jab and power, he might be able to dictate the pace in his favor. I'd definitely enjoy watching it regardless!

Translation: super promoter Kathy Duva won't risk the chance Kovalev, her meal-ticket and one single semi-draw, takes another L and gets wrecked by Sully B.

Duva doing classic promoter move trying to double dip in house matchup instead of Stevenson for belt
