Wilder is fast...he'll make that lumbering drug dealer look like he's fighting underwater.

The old version of Vlad was beat down by Ross Purrity and a professional Golfer

And Wilder was outboxed by Szpilka and Washington for large stretches. He is a good athlete but an awful boxer. AJ is basic but he has strong fundamentals and inhuman strength, which should see him past the crude and fragile Wilder unless he literally just stands and trades hooks with him

Of course the weight difference is a big deal. That's why there is weight divisions in boxing, howere at heavyweight they just have to accept it!

Wilder has a punchers chance? So what does Joshua have?! So far, he only proven to be heavy handed not some kind of technical boxing genius! Like with a lot of heavyweight fights, this could just come down to who lands first!

Actually I think they are both fragile but Wilder has the better stamina and the longer it goes the better his chances as Joshua's weight "advantage" might work against him!

...and how did that work for them??

Howard Davis outboxed Rosario for 99% of the fight and got KTFO

The SAME thing happened to John David Jackson....won 99.99% of the fight and got KTFO

Joshua should be lighter if he faces Wilder. It's one thing to be that heavy against a much slower Klitschko but Wilder will be more active and has better stamina. Joshua won't have to worry about Wilder holding or laying on him like he anticipated with Klitschko. I don't know if it would benefit Wilder to be heavier than normal because of his slight height advantage. I still favor Joshua in this fight. I think he has too much power for Wilder.

The point is that they are vastly inferior boxers to the likes of AJ and Wlad, so if they can do it for any portion of the fight, someone like AJ or Wlad can probably do it for all of the fight. Wilder has real power, for sure, but let's see if he can find a home for it against a top opponent. Knocking over fringe contenders is easy - as proven by Kownacki, Povetkin and AJ himself when they beat the same fighters that Wilder has beaten in much more dominant fashion

When heavyweight boxers get to a certain size more weight is not really an advantage. Often the extra weight comes with a lack of speed and agility and less punch resistance. The best heavyweights in history have usually weighed from 190 to 230 pounds with AJ and the K brothers reaching the upper limits of size and weight for the best heavyweights. Look at what 185 pound Dempsey did to 250 pound Willard. Look what 200 pound Louis did to 260 pound Carnera. Giant heavyweights have always been around put they are seldom the best heavyweight. Wilder is a very lean muscular 227 pounds and that is more than heavy enough to fight any heavyweight of any weight. If Wilder loses it would be because he was not good enough, not because he wasn't heavy enough.

Yeah, Joshua had already hinted that he might consider coming into fights a bit lighter after the Wlad fight.

This right here. it would be wise for wilder to utilize speed/movement to tire out joshua and knock him out in the mid to late rounds. unlike klitchko i dont think wilder will let him off the hook if he has joshua hurt
