Maybe they do, but the PPV numbers, gate numbers, say otherwise.

When it comes to Hernandez, Gatti and Pac, Oscar fought all 3 before Floyd. Was Pac still prime when he fought DLH? Maybe.
Outside of Corrales, Canelo, Hatton and Marquez, you have to ask yourself not "who", but "when". The Manfreddy win was cool for Floyd.
Oscar has many Manfreddy esqu wins thoughComment

Let's look at Oscar's career from prime to retirement:
1995 P4P #4, #1 Lightweight
1996 - P4P #2 behind RJJ, #1 JWW
1997 - P4P #1 in front of RJJ, #1 WW
1998 - P4P #1 in front of RJJ, #1 WW
1999 - P4P #4, #2 WW - Controversial loss to Trinidad
2000 - P4P #4, #2 WW
2001 - P4P #7, #1 JMW
2002 - P4P #5, #1 JMW (Champ)
2003 - P4P #4, #1 JMW
2004 - #2 MW
2006 - #6 JMW
2007 - #3 JMW (ironically the year he lost to FMJ). DLH was clearly past his prime
2008 - retired
Notice how Floyd fought Oscar at the tail end of his career?
Oscar was never the best in the world? What are you talking about? How old are you again?Comment

As a fighter, Oscar was a true warrior. He was a great boxer with a fan friendly style and an ATG left hand. Oscar never ducked anybody and like most great fighters, he stayed too long.
Oscar loved to fight and he gave the fans some memorable fights. In his prime at 147, Floyd probably ducks him. lolComment

It is well documented how he chased Oscar for years man..he even left Top Rank cause they would not guarantee him the fight..you cant say he waited for Oscar to get oldLet's look at Oscar's career from prime to retirement:

I was never a huge De La Hoya fan when he was fighting but his resume and accomplishments are Incredible. We discuss Pacquiao and Mayweather here daily but Oscar's resume buries both IMO, If for no other reason than the fact that he fought a prime Mosley and Trinidad.Let's look at Oscar's career from prime to retirement:

It's okay to run all night and still beat your opponent in landing punches but the problem with floyd is that he will run and hug all night and his opponent are landing more, landing harder and cleaner punches but floyd still win.

Why do yall say this? Floyd literally moved up chasing Oscar and Mosley..even left Top Rank just to get the fightAs a fighter, Oscar was a true warrior. He was a great boxer with a fan friendly style and an ATG left hand. Oscar never ducked anybody and like most great fighters, he stayed too long.

Sorry, you're wrong. FM has the top 3 highest grossing boxing PPV's. Mike Tyson has 4 and 5.Was this part of the "blueprint"
People pay their hard earned money for what they want to see. And correct me if im wrong, but doesnt floyd hold 4 out 5 of the top PPV's spots.
Did Jermaine Taylor fight that way
side note: I was in elpaso, tx less than a mile away from Juarez, and they believed YOU RAN to the finish line like an actual race vs Trinidad, but were happy you won (which more important in a sporting contest) WINNING Jermaine Taylor stood there and took hellacious shots to the dome, for the "fans", now look at him, plus if that was true, wouldnt one of those boxers have took the PPV mantle? Fact: He beat you at your preferred weight (Floyd moved up to your weight class, your preferred rules, and Your prefered Gloves, and took Cinco De Mayo :smileysex
