I really liked Cyberboxingzone. I used to post there every now and then. I'm thinking it's been like 5 years ago that they decided to close it down. To the poster that complained it was only for older people, so what ? Nothing wrong with seasoned fans starting their own board from their own heyday of memories. From some of the posts I see around here, it's like boxing history began around 1995.I think Cyberboxingzone is a missed resource.

Different type of layout so I barely consider it a forum, more like a comments section to an article posted online (like ESPN or NYT) but I guess you're right. I like the more traditional forum layout that Boxing Scene has.

The forum model is dead, i notice people rather just post comments via facebook discussions rather than join forums where they have privacy.

remember Dog pound forums from dog house boxing? that website is practically dead, I think this happened in 2013 when google changed and only put the big time news sites on top of search terms. I used to visit dog house, and saddo boxing, now they pretty much dead and their traffic died around 2013-2014

Google is greedy as ****, they dont let anyone rank on the front page unless they are rich or big sites, it sucks because its harde for me to find things, I used to type something in search about boxing and find old articles from other boxing sites now I cant I even remember a ****** article from Rollingstone showed up instead, wtf does rollingstone get a top spot just for writing about Floyd there website has nothing to do with boxing.
I've noticed this too. They pick winners and losers. Trash.

People like posting comments to articles instead of just threads that contain an anonymous person's opinions. It would be like if every thread on this forum was "Comments Thread For: ...".

Yeah look at ESPN articles they just use a facebook plug in for comments and its convenient people have gotten lazy, some guy told me the reason he doesn't join forums is its too much work to sign up lol he just likes using his facebook because once he is logged in he can post on any article without signing in again.

yeah its sad, Google controls everything its all about ad money to them. I miss the old days when you could type in a search term and find various articles from different websites big and small.

now everything is big websites irrelevant to the sport

You definitely have to do more digging. The corporate monsters get so big and swallow everything up. However, there's bound to be other search engines that come along. Once something gets that big the market for alternatives comes up.
