    Poirier's not a wrestler.
Alvarez isn't very smart, and chin-y.

Mendes, I thought would give Conor a real challenge.
Aldo, I thought would cripple Conor with kicks (keeping range).

I'm guessing that you didn't have Nate Diaz slapping Conor around like he did. I didn't. Nate's not a wrestler. I expected Conor to attack Nate with leg kicks from the start, which he didn't in the first fight... and lost. He smartened up in the second fight.

    Fighters have weaknesses.

What we in 'mma circles' believe is that smart, top-level wrestlers with a chin could beat Conor.

When Conor goes back to MMA, Tony Ferguson beats him, Khabib beats him, Frankie Edgar beats him... Nate Diaz' teammate, Gilbert Melendez beats him... even outside of the UFC, Micheal Chandler from Bellator beats Conor. Even Chad Mendes at 145 in a rematch might beat him (with an actual training camp this time).

Mike Perry is a KO-artist, who's limited. He's an entertaining prospect so far, but there are lots of 170ers who can and will beat Mike Perry.
Mike Perry fights at welterweight in UFC which is 156 to 170 lbs.
Mcgregor's last two fights were at welterweight and he weighed nearly 170 in his last fight.

        Lies. You bought them.

Dana White is a liar. I guess he had the casuals believing that Conor really was moving up 25 pounds to fight Nate.

        Conor is a 155er.
        Nate Diaz is a 155er.

All it was as two 155ers who didn't cut weight. Nate was "on a yacht in Cabo" vacationing in Mexico when the UFC called him to replace Rafa dos Anjos for the Conor fight... on 10 days notice. So it ended up being at one weight-class up.

Since Conor lost, psychologically, he felt he had to fight Nate at the same weight to avenge his loss. Everyone said that it made no sense, but Conor just wanted it at 170 again. Neither are 170-pounder.

        Also...
Conor's last fight was for the 155 Title, so again, no.

        P.S.
Years back, Nate fought at Welterweight a few times when he was disgruntled with the UFC's treatment.

Many fighters ascend up in weight through their careers, some jump back and forth between weight classes. Mike Perry himself started off as a lightweight 155 pounder and fought at the weight 2 years ago. McGregor has jumped back and forth between feather and lightweight for a while. Now he may well jump back and forth between lightweight and welterweight. There are countless examples of boxers jumping up and down in weight.. Roy Jones Jr, Mayweather, Pacquiao, most recently Perez and perhaps one of the more dramatic examples is Nobuhiro Ishida who went from a 160 middleweight to campaigning as a 206 pound heavyweight, skipping 3 weight classes entirely, with a gap of only 8 months in between the jump.

so you're telling me that one of the best boxers ever is going to beat a guy who has never boxed a round as a pro, and has no noteworthy amateur experience? revelations!

True, and the boxer was still a novice pro at this point.
