A sign of things to come? Does Mayweather vs McGregor end up resembling this..?

Lost me at a top mma guy.

Perry is probably most remembered in mma for getting beaten up by a male model.

To make sure the MMA guy didn't fall out of the ring after getting KOed with a wide angle looping shot that any boxer would have slipped or caught easily.

Is he really an elite fighter? hard to believe to be honest, watching this bum's fight gave me aids. I've unlearnt a couple of things about boxing by watching that ****. I know amateurs (more than one amateur, I mean) that can beat the hell out of this bum, dude.

You can see his punches coming from the moon, and the way he shoulder-rolls without shoulder-rolling is utterly ******. He could better cut his legs too, he wouldnt notice anyway. What a piece of crap.

                No.

                Mike Perry is a 170-pounder.
                Conor is a 155-pounder, and 145.

What we in 'mma circles' believe is that smart, top-level wrestlers with a chin could beat Conor.

When Conor goes back to MMA, Tony Ferguson beats him, Khabib beats him, Frankie Edgar beats him... Nate Diaz' teammate, Gilbert Melendez beats him... even outside of the UFC, Micheal Chandler from Bellator beats Conor. Even Chad Mendes at 145 in a rematch might beat him (with an actual training camp this time).

Mike Perry is a KO-artist, who's limited. He's an entertaining prospect so far, but there are lots of 170ers who can and will beat Mike Perry.

I suspect he would do better in his next boxing match tbh. He somewhat grew into it. He looked genuinely crap at the beginning.

I suspect May/Mac will resemble this fight tbh.

It should do, let's be honest.

If not then Mayweather has let the sport down. No point sugar coating it. And I am certain Conor McGregor just like this dude would make incremental improvements every time he stepped into a boxing ring.

They're professional athletes and in Conor's case he is an elite combat athlete. But improvements can only ever be incremental. It's not a movie.
Calling it now: Tons of people saying Conor got robbed because he was the aggressor, and the aggressor always wins the rounds...all Floyd did was "run" so he couldn't possibly have won that fight.
