Willie has very solid points.

GGG is a monster at mid-range, he beat's the crap out of you, he's even a very dangerous long range fighter but I don't see him being effective at close range.

I mean, of course he can punch at close range but he can't put power behind thos short blows. While Canelo can take more ouf of his punches on the close range.

The problem I got with Canelo is that he's not a mover at all, Jacobs and Canelo fight very differently and while I favor Canelo on the combination departmen which BTW i think he is top 3 combination in the entire sport I don't see him moving as much as Jacobs but at the same time his combinations could trouble GGG more than Jacobs.

This is why this is such a fantastic fight, u know when stars allign and put two fighters with combinaed records of just 1 loss and 70+ wins and aggresive styles, plus the 2 styles I think will provide with a fireworks type fight.

Being on the ropes is too incorporated into how Canelo fights. That cute **** could be dangerous here.

Ive said for awhile now what Monroe mentioned about Golovkin. And I tied it to Kovalev and to some degree Loma too. These guys dont like fighting inside. They like fighting at ideal range where they can get off. They are strong guys and can put punches together well when they have ideal space. But I dont think they know how to, or like to, fight when you cut the distance off on them.

Willie sounds like he knows what he's talking about. That might be the most articulate breakdown I've ever heard from a boxer. I don't know if I agree with an Alvarez KO, but I've been leaning towards a Canelo win for a while now. This is going to be a great fight.

You should check out boxingego interview with Troy King. It's what Willie said but goes into more detail really makes perfect sense.

This fight will be decided on who takes who's punches better.

Canelo will hit GGG coming in.

GGG will stalk Canelo, cut the ring off and unload.

This fight will come down to who has the better beard, or who gets worn down first.

I think the smarter more well-rounded fighter will win

and the corner/gameplan will be extremely important

Team Canelo will prove their worth in this fight

they know their fighter inside out, Canelo will have a great gameplan for Golovkin..... they will work on good counters/combinations to deal with Golovkin's somewhat predictable attack and focus on dealing with that jab

I always said this will be a more physically demanding fight than Jacobs

and Canelo will be much more confident/aggressive than Jacobs was

There's a reason why most fighters aren't aggressive against Golovkin, I don't know if that's the right move for Canelo. Jacobs had the right strategy, just didn't get the win

Benavidez spars with Canelo and Golovkin at least. Idk about their Nostradamus skills though.
