Canelo will hit GGG coming in.

I agree Jacobs was too respectful at times but at the same so was Golovkin. I don't think he will be against Canelo. I think Golovkin can stay at a distance and box but I don't know if can win a decision against Canelo with that strategy. I'll be curious to see which one will the aggressor. If it's Golovkin it will give Canelo a lot of opportunities to counter. I seriously doubt either fighter will be willing to fight at close range for long periods. I'm not as confident as some people on either fighter having a clear path to victory.

That's why this fight is fascinating, we shall see on that day how this goes, just to mention how refreshing it is to chat boxing with you, even though we might have different opinions, you are still able to put your points across without childish name calling, race baiting etc that I see on here every single day.... Willie has very solid points.

GGG is a monster at mid-range, he beat's the crap out of you, he's even a very dangerous long range fighter but I don't see him being effective at close range.

I mean, of course he can punch at close range but he can't put power behind thos short blows. While Canelo can take more ouf of his punches on the close range.

The problem I got with Canelo is that he's not a mover at all, Jacobs and Canelo fight very differently and while I favor Canelo on the combination departmen which BTW i think he is top 3 combination in the entire sport I don't see him moving as much as Jacobs but at the same time his combinations could trouble GGG more than Jacobs.

This is why this is such a fantastic fight, u know when stars allign and put two fighters with combinaed records of just 1 loss and 70+ wins and aggresive styles, plus the 2 styles I think will provide with a fireworks type fight.

GGG is levels above cotto in fundamentals and overrall skill. Better jab, better footwork, better timing, better placement of the shots, and yes better defense. Cotto got stopped by a ****ing flyweight moving up and got mauled by margarito. His defense is not that great. GGG dosen't get hit much when he faces power punchers unlike cotto. Cotto also got outboxed by trout just lol at him having better skills than ggg. I look forward to your excuses come september 16th. Canelo only lost because ggg has no skill. All power derp. Just power nothing else.

Why does everyone keep saying canelo will stop ggg, he couldn't stop a very drained punching bag that didn't even throw punches back at him, even then he walked himself onto the ropes and by his own admission he was tired, any of you that have boxed will know that facing a big puncher that is a stalker will make your adrenaline flow, adrenaline eats your energy more than anything else in the ring

This is silly. It wasnt long ago when people called this a mismatch but just because GG went 12 with Jacobs ( who is significantly bigger and faster than canelo ) ya think Canelo is gonna win now? ****** lol

They say boxing fans are the most fickle minded and that's true. This is a perfect example.

Fighters may be only good as their last fight but i didnt see any sign of GGG slowing down. He did not show me so much ***** in his armour to make be believe that canelo would have a chance. With Jacobs, it was a style issue. Jacobs fought the fight of his life and was determined not to get into too many exchanges. It is hard to look good against an opponent with that type of mindset.

Thanks! I try to focus on boxing whenever I post on here but I will admit it's hard sometimes. Especially when you're trying to have a serious conversation and some people can only respond with immaturity. This site is so much better when boxing is the main subject.

I'm looking forward to a great fight in September.
