Canelos jab is NOTHING like GGGs. I bet Cornholeo has a hard time getting around it

The interview I heard where retirement was mention sounded very vague with Golovkin kind of saying "who knows". It didn't sound like a serious contemplation of retirement. I'm with you on hoping most of all its a good fight. I've got a feeling boxing is going to need it.

The stuff you see him do versus C level guys isn't sophisticated at all.

Gassing is a factor in this fight but for me the biggest factor is the power and the chin. Can Canelo take Golovkin's power and can Golovkin get worn down by Canelo's combos --- because both are going to get hit regularly.
EVERY fighter gasses (in different ways) during a 12 rd fight that goes the distance . And Murray is a braveheart journeyman, not elite. Golovkin has only fought Jacobs that was truly top 5. The rest of his opponents have been b- & below skill level 4 different reasons. Ggg gassed out vs jacobs after rd 6,& for moments before that too where he had to take breathers.

All you claiming that ggg is some nonstop pressure for every rd beast are so delusional. He gets hit plenty vs less skilled fighters than Canelo,he gasses often as any elite fighter,he takes plenty of breaks in fights,he has no clue what to do when his most skilled opponent unloaded or traded,he freezes & that was vs a chinny Jacobs not a steel chin nelo.

Here we go, same thing, "bu bu but golovkins jab doe" what about 3, 4, 5, combinations coming back at him in less than 2 seconds? What about the straight right over top of that jab? Like the one Floyd hit canelo with multiple times in their fight? That's now one of canelos best counters

He gave GGG too much respect by backing off even though he has all the things needed to beat or compete with GGG. If he fought the first few rounds in the same way he fought in the last 3/4 rounds then he would have beaten GGG IMO.

Monroe didn't have the same tools that Jacobs had going into a GGG fight, but i can see why he thinks Canelo beats GGG, Canelo loves fighters coming at him, he has that uppercut in his inside game, he has the experience not to allow GGG space to extend his arms, he is quicker than GGG, and he knows GGG doesn't fight great when its an inside fight.

Even against Brook GGG inside game wasn't up to scratch. The only issue would be if GGG get Canelo on the ropes and then tee off on those bodyshots. Because i don't think Canelo would eat too many of GGG's jabs.
I agree Jacobs was too respectful at times but at the same so was Golovkin. I don't think he will be against Canelo. I think Golovkin can stay at a distance and box but I don't know if can win a decision against Canelo with that strategy. I'll be curious to see which one will the aggressor. If it's Golovkin it will give Canelo a lot of opportunities to counter. I seriously doubt either fighter will be willing to fight at close range for long periods. I'm not as confident as some people on either fighter having a clear path to victory.

Let's hope GGG wasn't sand bagging when he was playing with Jacobs.....and we know haters don't know smack about boxing.
My sense is that Golovkin underestimated Jacobs' chin and, as a result, did not train appropriately for that fight. I don't think he (or Sanchez) will underestimate Canelo.

Ggg jab too slow for Canelo that's easy pickings, Canelo did outbox khan from round 3 till he slept him... says a lot about canelos boxing abilities considering he was the slower fighter on that fight.
