dont forget the factor of ggg going into the fight knowing he has to do more than usual to win the rounds. that is obviously gonna affect his game, might make more mistakes.

happened with the kova ward rematch. kova fought the wrong fight by headhunting but thats because he knew he wasnt gonna get a fair shake, and he was right because 2 of the judges somehow gave ward 4 rounds- max you could give him was 3 . kova outlanded ward 6 of the 7 rounds. it gives a fighter a mental edge when he knows all he has to do is make a round mildly competitive to win a round so he regulates his stamina, whereas the other guy is pushing every round. and the 2 vegas judges are the ones who had it for ward, the new yorker had it 5-2 kova . Before , vegas judges were notorious for favouring the come forward fighter but the floyd era changed all that and they started scoring for tap and run, jab and grab tactics.

Or maybe it's just that the money fighters have been those type of fighters?

Ggg hasn't fought anyone as good as Canelo either.

Canelo doesn't have a gas tank and he does gas after 5-6 rounds.
Unless he develops some magical feet be is getting ****ed up.
Trip seems to gas too against guys with defense or who actually hit back.

Ggg is to slow to stand and trade with Canelo, by the time ggg tries to punch he would get hit by a combo of some sort. Ggg best weapon is his jab, but using the jab like he did with Lemieux on canelo will only allow Canelo to get the distance and timing and thus counter it all night. Ggg has to be creative not predictable because of the speed defecit. Canelo has shown he is able to outbox a faster guy (khan) so what you think he will do against a slower guy? Feet? When you are throwing punches your feet are NOT moving. Ggg is no Ali with his feet. He cuts the ring well but that doesn't mean he has good feet. When they are both within range, Canelo will have the advantage in speed and ggg in power, in my opinion. How well can Canelo take the shots if/when ggg connects? How well can Canelo use his hand speed to make ggg reset? Will ggg be willing to take a shot to give one? A lot of questions lots of scenarios, I replayed these over my head many times I see Canelo winning Ud...
I never said Golovkin can outbox Canelo. I said he can use the same approach he did with Lemieux. Golovkin has along quick jab. It's not fancy but it can keep his opponents off balance. If he can keep Canelo off balance it will help in the later rounds if or when Canelo gets desperate. Canelo didn't outbox Khan until he started making mistakes, one of which was getting sloppy defensively.

Canelo wins i don't know if he'll stop GGG though that would be a sight to see. I just don't like the fact that ggg mentioned possibly retiring ahead of his first Major fight. That seems suspect to me. But i just hope this fight delivers in the action department. As long as this fight lives up to the hype thats all i care about lol

This is good, because nearly everyone in boxing sees this as a competitive fight. Because if Golovkin wins by stoppage, as I'm sure he will, we're gonna hear how Canelo was too small, no footwork no gas tank ect. Not as of this moment, apparently.
