Ward/Kov 2 did 92K PPV. MR 92K.

Ward-Kovalev did over $3m at the gate, with the rematch doing over $2m (avg ticket price sold of $350), and Ward was still able to (if we're now using Glaser as the grand arbiter) about what was said that Golovkin did.
We're it not for Alvarez carrying the near full load, K2 would never dream of staging a Golovkin fight in Las Vegas, ever.
What are you even talking about?Comment

Ward-Kovalev 2 did over $2m at the live gate, $3m on PPV even at Glaser's number, likely got another nice fee from Sky Sports, and the event was sponsored out the wazzoo.
Why folks continue to act as if no revenues came in on the fight is laughable.Comment

HBO takes half of the 3 mill on PPV.
so 2 mil live gate with 1 mil going toward the venue rental+security+set-up-technicians+staff etc
1.5 mil + 1 mil = 2.5 mil that's payable to promoters and fighters.
Ward's pay was 6.5 mil?
math don't make sense.Comment

Jeezus. They were both top 5 P4P leading up to the fight...and they couldn't break a measly 100K?!?
And yet a 40 year old retired fighter vs an 0-0 novice is gonna do like literally 40, maybe even 50 times more the PPV money...wow!!!Comment

Why won't blacks rally behind Ward against a known Racist that compared blacks to monkeys?
there are 40 million blacks in America. Can't even get 100K to support your P4p #1 boxer against KKKovalev?
Something's not adding up here.
Men lie. Women lie. #'s don't lie.
Y'all know yourselves Andre Gential Ward is a disgrace to the sport of boxing. Action speak louder than words.Comment

It's not even that, tbh.
-Live gate is clearly in Ward's favor (the Vegas gates, with Kovalev not being able to move tickets on his own, at those prices, seems to prove that Andre Ward can draw at the gate).
-Fights sponsors are likely in Ward's direction.
-He can comfortably market the fight everywhere it'd need to be marketed.
