            1.5 mil + 1 mil = 2.5 mil that's payable to promoters and fighters.

            Ward's pay was 6.5 mil?

            math don't make sense.
HD for the PPV was priced at $65 (the broadcaster generally keeps the HD fee anyway, so the take is really off of $55). Even at Glaser's number, that's still $5m in PPV revenue (roughly half going to cable/HBO all leaves the event organizers with $2.5m off of the Glaser number).

The gate off of Ward-Kovalev 2 was actually nearly $2.2m; if you honestly think that the costs to stage a fight at the 12k-seat Mandalay Bay EC came to $1m, you're a fool (and that's without counting any site fee from MGM Resorts).

Then you figure the international TV money (Sky Sports picking up the fight over BoxNation likely didn't come for pennies), event sponsors (Corona on center ring, but at least another 4-5 sponsors putting money behind the fight), and the other revenues, and you've got a nice pot of money to work from.

Even at $6m to Ward, RocNation's take on the fight was far closer to Ward's $6m than it was to 0.

RocNation had put on how many shows in their existence? Cotto-Alvarez saw them take near all of the site fee, on a fight that generated an alleged $70m on PPV ($70 for HD/$60 as the fee things are based off of; even at Glaser's number, you're still talking about the promoters splitting $25m off of the US rights on the fight).

Cotto got paid handsomely for that, but don't for a second think that RocNation got nothing.

RocNation is betting their future on Andre Ward (and Luis Arias, Maurice Hooker, and Dusty Harrison-Hernandez coming along behind him), likely with the resources on hand to see that through

it doesn't get lower than that.
So that is your whole thing, lol.

Nevermind the fact that Golovkin-Lemieux was sold at $50 for HD (a full $15 below Ward's price point), the tickets for the actual event were priced well below what most major events command at the gate (which helps explain why we've never seen a confirmed gate total from any Golovkin fight ever), you're going to bury your head in the sand for this one, lol.

because this is show business and being the best boxer doesn't mean you're going to be the biggest star.

                    That's horrendous

canelo Chavez being such a dull one sided mismatch, the announcement of may-mac, the boring style of ward, and it being a rematch probably were the reasons .

James prince and ward hustled rocnation badly. It was a 60-40 split to ward which means rocnation lost money for the fight by paying ward 6.5mil. They lost well over 2million dollars

And their prospects Include arias who has been popped for PEDs in past and Harrison who is a hypejob
