I don't have links because most of these things he said I watched on TV or on youtube like a year ago in the build up to his 2 fights I've seen live.

But I heard all of the above with my own 2 ears so I know they were said. Don't think I'm lying about it.

It's ok, fighters tend to make excuses for loss's or bad peformances and clearly McGregor is definitely one of them because like I said. All of the above were literally said.

I think you confuse reason with excuses. They aren't the same.

I don't know. I think McGregor isn't going to make excuses. As loud as he can be, he seems very humble. Such a no lose situation for him. Good thing it is only boxing. I'd hate for Mayweather Jr. to take a severe injury like Ali did against Inoki. If they aren't already, I think Floyd and Conor are about as close as friends as possible. Who wouldn't love another person that allowed them to make such a fortune?

If you list a reason why you lost a fight then effectivly you are making an excuse. That's what an excuse is.

"The reason I lost is because x y z" is an excuse.

Whether it's true or not or logical or illogical it's irrelevant just don't say it.

I lost he won, I'll adjust and win the rematch. Leave it at that, that is not having any excuses.

Saying "no excuses but he was too big, I didn't prepare this way, I didn't do this, I did this"

Are LITERALLY excuses. Literally THE definition of making an excuse to why you lost.

He is literally listing reasons to lessen the blame for why the lost the fight.

Giving a reason for what he could have done better is not an excuse. That's just common sense.

An excuse is when you blame something specifically for your defeat. Which he didn't do.

He didn't at any stage say "if I didn't eat steak I would have beaten him" for example.

He didn't say it, but he definitely heavily alluded to it.

Thus the excuse. One of many actually.

His excuse is he's not a boxer And everyone will agree.

He said that after the fight with RDA was cancelled, he stopped giving a *** about weight etc. That was true - Did you see him rub his belly at the weigh in?

                    Again, there's a big difference.

You seem to think if anyone says something they can improve on, it's an excuse which is ridiculous. He clearly gave nate full props after both fights in the octagon, out of the octagon and even months later.

He doesn't need an excuse. He is taking on the best of the last x years/decades/generations in his own sport. Floyd wouldn't last a round under MMA rules.
