Mate, I watched it live. I didn't have to youtube it any of this. I know everything that was said.

Provide me one link to any of the above that was used as an excuse to why he lost.

No one said he made excuses. Everyone said he took it like a man, incl all of the UFC guys that hate him. So for you to say otherwise is kinda cringey.

Are you saying the above wasn't said? Because it definitely was said.

Whether it was directly after, 1 week after or 10 years after all of the above are excuses for why he lost.

And I'm aware that the narrative was "he has no excuses" which was always slightly baffling to me considering all of the above excuses that were used that by the way are, literally, all excuses.

Cringey It's funny because I find him saying the opposite cringey when in the next sentence makes an excuse.

You are taking things out of context.

200 lbs were in the 2nd fight, not the first fight.

He never said he should have prepared specifically for Diaz forthe first fight, he always maintains not to prepare specifically, however in prep for the rematch he said he did because he knew Diaz would come to fight.

In fact, he gave Diaz a full camp, and the same weight, so making excuses about size doesn't really fit in? He did note that Nate had grown a lot and he was huge, which he was.

But just provide one link of any kind where he's making an excuse for the loss. I'll wait for it.

I don't have links obviously but I've seen all of the above said when talking about why he didn't win the fight aka an excuse.

He did say that, about training specfic. And why this time would be different than the first - Excuse.

He made excuses, literally impossible to deny.

Him saying "no excuses but" doesn't mean they arent an excuse.

Reminds me of when Mayweather said "no excuses but I had hand injuries and I had the flu" when talking about being in a tough fight with Cotto.

Same thing with McGregor, saying "no excuses" before making excuses doesn't magcially make them not excuses

"I feel I was simply inefficient with my energy. Usually, when I fight a man in the division I am champion in and they crumble under those shots. But Nate took them very well. I think the weight allowed him to take those shots well. I enjoyed the fact that a person could take the shots and keep coming. He kept his composure. He went into almost autopilot mode with the shots. His face was busted up. And I went into panic mode. It was just a shift of energy and he capitalized on it. I think with a bit of adjustment and a bit of recognition it must take more than one, more than two, more than three to put the heavier man away. I think if I go in with that mindset at a heavier weight I think I will do fine again."

"It's a tough pill to swallow, but we can either run from adversity or we can face our adversity head on and conquer it. And that's what I plan to do. It wasn't ideal, I got caught. It is what it is. I'll face it. I'll take it on the chin. And I'll carry on. I'll learn from it. And that's it. I'm not cut. I'm simply heartbroken and that's it. I'll pick myself up and we'll figure it out in the morning. I will never shy away from a challenge.I will never shy away from defeat. This is part of the game. I am happy to come out there, continue and stay in this fight. I had many chances to not do this and sit and wait. But I went in, I took the fight and it didn't pay off. This is the fight business. It's another day. I'll come back."

Ok I'm aware that he wrote a nice letter to the fans.

But then excuses came flooding in shortly after.

Even in this "no excuses" letter he's implying the weight was a factor and making a half excuse

I don't know about Diaz. I can't listen to his interviews. But what I do definitely know for a 100% unequivocal fact is McGregor made excuses, and quite a list actually. The guy had the actual gall to use his breakfast as an excuse with a straight face.

I'm not qualified to hate as a non fan of the sport.

But what I do know, without any doubt is he made a lot of excuses for why he lost that fight. That's a absolute fact.
