Barrera sucks. It's just Smith does too. Who has Barrera "outboxed"? Shabbransky and Smith, two of the slowest, least skilled guys to ever fight on HBO. Yes they have power but Barrera being a counter puncher, their styles were perfect for him. Just like Barrera facing a fellow counter puncher in Ward was the worst style for him, and he was never going to win that, but you want to give Ward all this credit?

If Kovalev does fight Barrera, remember this comment, Kovalev will absolutely dominate him. Outboxing Joe Smith does not make Barrera a great boxer LOL. You Ward fanboys are too much man.

Why was Smith dancing around and retreating with his terrible footwork all fight?

Why was Smith not throwing the right hand?

I didn't necessarily expect him to win because I know Barrera is a solid boxer, but those elements of his performance just annoyed the hell out of me.

We know Smith has a nice backstory but so does Barrera and seeing his dad for the first time in ages. And you have to go through hell to get to the US from Cuba so lets get behind guys like these, both these guys. Smith can still do nice things and Barrera keeps showing his pedigree.

Good win for Barrera. Absolutely dominated 2 guys who were thought of in Slavs and now Joe Smith.

He deserves a fight with Adonis Stevenson or Kovalev next. I also wouldn't mind seeing a Ward rematch.

Barrera is a good fighter. The first Ward fight was too decisive for a rematch though.

Don't know what Ward does aside from Stevenson and hoping Beterbiev picks up A LOT of steam in the next 12 months
