Mayweather/McGregor is gonna CRUSH Mayweather/Pacman numbers...

I am seeing this fight everywhere. On every forum, website. Theres always people discussing this fight. Its all over Youtube as well, people even making tons of "reaction" videos to the littlest moments of the press conference.

Last night and today they were even airing the press conference clips on FOX news, which is the biggest news channel on all TV.

I also know people in real life who have mentioned the fight to me. People who are not even boxing or MMA fans. They just know the two stars involved because they are mega stars.

The first press conference had 6 times more viewers than Pacman/Mayweather press conference, and that was just 1 livestream.

This match will absolutely crush the Pacman/Mayweather numbers.

I believe it could smash it. People i know that weren't even interested in Mayweather v Pacquiao are lapping this **** up. Even people like my sister who doesn't follow any sport at all has been following this.

I think some folk are not quite grasping how big this is.

I read a good point from someone on here though that it could do less buys as it might be an event where more people get together to watch it. I could see that. I think this will definitely have more people watching, whether that's reflected in the buys, who knows.

              Yes quite easily.

Helps that both of them speak English and know how to cut a promo.

Pacquiao is a great fighter, but (casual) people want a story before a fight.

I think you're right given how much hype there already is around the fight. Floyd should white wash him, but I still wanna see the spectacle.

                  Crush? I don't know.

It might beat the May/Pac numbers by a bit but it wont 'crush' them

I don't think it can "crush" the Pac/May numbers, based on the numbers game. How many more people can really buy this fight, that already bought the Pac/May fight, or that haven't? It'll either be close, or less than the Pac/May fight, just based on the fact that there has to be a limit on the amount of people that buy PPVs, regardless of the type of event it is, and the magnitude. I don't think you can get any more hype than the Pac/May fight, and pretty much everyone that you're including in this "crushing" also bought the Pac/May fight. This isn't a, this fight isn't as big as the Pac/May fight comment, it's a, the ceiling for hype is probably the Pac/May fight. And the Conor fight has most likely reached that level of hype, and that's all there is to it. You really think an extra million people are gonna buy an event that's pretty much on the same level, hype wise, as the Pac/May fight? If it beats the Pacquiao numbers, it'll be something so insignificant, you can pretty much call them equal successes.

Think of it like an Iphone release. The exact same amount of people that always upgrade, and wait in line for the new Iphone on day 1, are the same exact people that do the same thing a few months later, when another Iphone comes out. You can't "crush" something that's pretty much as big as it gets.

All this talk about, but even people that don't care about, or watch, or never heard of, was literally said about the Pac/May fight, and was literally the same level of hype, and buzz as this fight. And we're most likely being prisoners of the moment, and thinking it's bigger, when it's pretty much the same, or slightly less. You almost can't get more buzz and hype than the Pac/May fight.
