If Floyd doesn't knock McGregor out in a round or two it will be bad for boxing

If Floyd were to step into the octagon he would be obliterated in under 30 seconds. The fact that some people are giving Conor a chance and at the very least saying he will last the entire fight is an indication of the lack of respect the casual fan has for how tough the sport of boxing is. With that said, if Conor a fighter with no pro boxing experience is able to go the distance with Floyd who is considered to be the best boxer in the world it will be embarrassing. Floyd needs to open up like he did against Gatti (RIP) and take him out as quickly as possible. Otherwise the UFC fanboys will have something to hang their hats on with a moral victory.

First it's if Floyd loses it's bad for boxing, now if he doesn't get a KO it's bad for boxing, next it's if it's a UD it's bad for boxing.

if Conor lands 1 punch it's bad for boxing, if Conor doesn't literally go to the hospital and die after Floyd beats him it's bad for boxing.

      Thanks for the sarcasm.

Floyd can't punch for schit though

Is Floyd the best p4p boxer in this era? Yes.

Is Floyd the safest fight you can fight for 10 mil? Yes

Will Floyd knock McGregor out unconscious? No

Will Floyd stop Connor? I highly doubt it.

Is Floyd the best representation of boxing Connor can fight at 154? Hell no

No real fan gives a f....k if Mayweather KO's McGregor in two rounds or 12 rounds. Mayweather certainly doesn't care. The only ones who care are the Mayweather haters who are looking for something to criticize him about. This fight won't help or hurt boxing any more than it will help or hurt the UFC.

Best cast scenarios to me (from a boxing perspective) are

            A) Stop McGregor very early (somewhere between rounds 1 through 3)

            B) Put on a show, paint job McGregor's ass for 4 or 5 rounds Gatti style and then stop him.

            C) UD, win every round, toying with him the entire way with multiple knockdowns in the process (and legitimate KDs, not flash KDs)

Anything else just about and the MMA world will consider it a moral victory. If it's a nondescript, boring UD, they'll see that as a win. If McGregor somehow clearly wins a round, they'll see that as a win. Hell if McGregor just lands one really nice, clean shot they'll consider that a W.

Yes. Floyd should take out conor in less than 2 rounds if not then it will be very embarrassing.

Floyd is not a puncher these days and the other guy is naturally bigger. I expect an embarrassment type stoppage or decision.
