of course one fought bigger guys since he campaign in a higher weightclass, that doesnt mean is the better opposition..
When Duran fought Leonard guess who was favored. Not Duran who unquestionably had a longer and more impressive list of opponents. It's because he was fighting at an unknown weight for him so his resume was discounted somewhat.

Jacobs is 160. Lara is 154. 6 lbs. Lara fought at 160 before. Trout comes in at 170 and so does lara not too far off mw's. Comparing hw which is literally 40 lbs heavier to a jmw stepping up to mw. You're a ****ing ******.

GGG has fought opponents closer to his size and of equal skill. Canelo was always the bigger man in the ring and typically had a big size advantage with the exception of Floyd and Chavez Jr. Mosley and Cotto were not at their best, and Cotto was much smaller in that fight. Trout is on the same level as Murray, Lara gave him fits and some argue he should have won. Jacobs was much larger than GGG, Brook was a better, stronger and bigger fighter than Khan.

I give the edge to GGG, again because he didn't have the huge size advantage over most opponents the way Canelo has.

golovkin. people just seem to write off the mayweather loss, canelo embarrassed himself. many also thought he lost to lara. I dont see many quality wins tbh, is the ghost of cotto a good win? Chavez jr who was on the prisoner of war diet? I think canelo would lose to jacobs and i think he'd struggle against lemiuex. I think hed really struggle against brook at 154 too.

no one is discussing that, ggg is the slight favorite cuz he is been fighting bigger opposition and is at a weight where he is always fought...
but bigger oppositipn doesnt give yoi a better resume, better opposition does...

GGG & Canelo have been the same fight-night weight for a decade. You can directly compare their competition - one chose to feast on LMWs and the other fought MWs.

If Eric Molina can beat Jacobs head-to-head, then he's the better fighter. Weight classes are artificial protectors.

Coto was past his best and small. Trouts only good win is against a small cotto. Laras only good win is trout. Trout ain't much and Lara is 24-2-2 his claim to fame is losing to his best opponents.
