While it was true that Lebron had it easier than most, Floyd did not. I know for a fact Floyd slept in ****ty motels (********** **** holes) with no food to eat in Detroit during training camps, when he was like 15. Yeah he had talent but boxing isn't as glamorous as youth basketball. He didn't have handlers. There's also some stories about him training at Don King's facilities when he was younger with basically no adult support.

I don't know where his family was at the time, but he wasn't taken care of like you'd think.

The thing about Roger Mayweather, is while Floyd was still living back in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Roger was living in Nevada at the time earning $ Millions of dollars. Did any of that money trickle down to Floyd I don't know? However, I do know his father earned next to no money at all in his boxing career.

Moreover, Unlike Lebron I seriously doubt he was a walking lotto ticket. The reason why I say this is because by the time he turned pro, unlike Leonard and De La Hoya, he wasn't an Olympic Gold medalist and hadn't received a ton of sponsors for his services and was only offered one and that was from Top Rank Inc.

In addition, he wasn't happy at all with the kind of money he was making with them either at the time. He felt held back.

You have all of these lil "hood agents" that break bread with child prodigies when they're coming up. Just so they can get something when the few that make it make it. So either Floyd upbringing wasn't as "hood" as he claims. Or, Floyd was that rare exception that decided to play it all the way straight and accepted nothing from anybody. Although its kinda hard for me to believe that a kid that didn't have food when he was competing at the international level of amateur boxing didn't accept a handout or two somewhere along the way.

No amount of money will educate Floyd on financial management. The only thing that separates him from previous broke athletes is he's made far more money than anyone else buying him a little more time before he goes broke.

I've said it over and over again...

When Floyd gets a reported $100mil purse, that is instantly reduced to 60mil as the IRS takes nearly 40%. Minus training fees, paying his trainer, cut man, etc... That 60mil becomes even smaller. Factor in his outrageous spending habits and that is why he is in this current scenario.

Do you think he really wants to participate in this fight with Mcgregor? Hell no. He's doing it for a quick payday.
