I'm glad espn is investing in boxing. Top fighters in good fights. Top prospects.

Especially good for guys like loma that are not huge draws yet. Nothing worse than seeing a great fight in a half empty arena.

If Ward signs to TR then espn could have the 3 best active fighters in the world on their network. That exposure will help the sport immensely.

Really? He's 1 of the main reason we didn't get the Floyd vs. #48 fight. #48 could have been #41.

PBC isn't working with ESPN. They moved all of those fights to Fox because ESPN treats boxing like a redheaded stepchild. Not to mention their one boxing writer subtly bashing PBC.

So you kinda have to take ESPN's new found love for the sport with a grain of salt. Arum got so much financial backing from Australians that they didn't have to put in much except promising to give it extensive pre-fight coverage. But when the smoke clears after August, you'll get an idea of just how committed ESPN is to boxing. GBP is learning pretty quickly about that.

All of sudden free boxing on tv is great. When it was PBC it was nothing but hate about so called mismatches . Now that its arum its so great for boxing. Even though his first two out of three cards are mismatches. Smfh. But we all know why Haymon gets hate and anyone else gets love. Unless they are affiliated with Floyd Mayweather or Al Haymon.

                    Exactly.

Hell, you can already see it in this very article. The writer mentioned that PBC got the ball rolling on free tv but that it had "hiccups" due to terrible mismatches.

But then he goes on to be excited about Lomachenko vs Marriaga...despite the fact that it's a terrible mismatch!

And he excuses it by saying that Lomachenko's skills will be on display. Why didn't PBC get any of that spin control from the boxing media? I'm sure the skills of their stars were on display too in their mismatches.

All I want is for the boxing media to be fair and to hold everyone to the same standards. Is that too much to ask?

Way too much. Can anyone argue that as a televised series, PBC hasn't put on the most competitive matchups compared to others? Over a 2-3 year period? It's not even close.
