Just like everyone said he would be too big for Stevenson. I recall stevenson knocking him out and people calling it a nothing win vs a nobody, but people seem to randomly back Bellew since thenComment

WTF dude? Bellew was fighting at HIS weight in that fight. It wasn't some catchweight deal, he only went to CW after he lost. What would that make Bellew if he beat Ward? Not much. LOL. A guy who managed to beat someone who is significantly smaller than him. Although Ward refuses to, he could still arguably make 168. Bellew beating him at CW wouldn't mean much for him. However, Ward beating Bellew would say a lot about Ward, which I would favor Ward in this fight.
Few things: The Haye fight was irrelevant. Not only was Haye on one leg, but we don't know how good he was after he came back from retirement. The Stevenson fight doesn't translate here. Bellew was drained and he wouldn't be against Ward in a CW fight.
It's totally relevant.Last edited by cameltoe; 07-07-2017, 04:40 PM.Comment

I have all the respect in the world for Ward, but I'm seriously thinking he's avoiding Stevenson.
Stevenson is fast and furious... One punch can change everything and Superman can get you from any angle.
Stevenson is definitely eating the right amount of bagels
Screw Bellew... We shouldn't even be having this conversationComment

For the bums to lazy to check facts
Bellew fought LHW at least from 2007 to the end of 2013 when he lost the fight against Stevenson.
Bellew wasn't drained! He didn't come down a weight class... LHW was his weight class when Stevenson turned him into a rainbow pooping unicorn.
I love how people reinvent history

I don't think Bellew is too big, too strong. I think Joshua is, or Fury, Wilder, Wlad. In reality, when you can see almost eye to eye with someone in height, that confidence dwindles. Ward is 6'1", Bellew is 6'2". Unless it's a really skinny guy who weighs 150lbs, I don't think the size is a big deal here, because the height is good enough, and Ward is big enough at 190lbs. Bellew at CW will be around 200lbs, maybe 215lbs on fight night. Ward will maybe come in at 195lbs on fight night. There will be a 20lb difference probably, which is not impossible to overcome if you have the skill advantage. Mayweather and Pacquiao did it all the time in their prime and Ward is up there with them in skill.
I'm not saying it's going to be easy. Bellew has a tendency to get wins out of his ass. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight ends up being more competitive than some may predict.Comment

If Ward wants to fight in the heavyweight division he should fight a heavy. A win against a not real heavyweight that can't compete against real heavys wouldn't prove anything. What just another circus act. What happened to fighting the best guys. If Ward Go's up to heavy he should fight some journeyman and if he does well fight real heavyweight contenders. Otherwise going up in weight proves nothing. I don't blame Bellew. He's doing the best he can with what he's capable of but the PFP Ward? Come onComment
