Lacy would win a comfortable UD over Hopkins, IMHO. The reason Calzaghe had so much success against Lacy, where nobody else has, is because of the insane volume of power punches he generated every round. Hopkins is just not that type of fighter.
I think Lacy would completely outwork Hopkins, especially once Hopkins felt the power Lacy put into his punches (much the same way he felt Taylor's power early in their first fight and just went totally dormant until he felt it let up some). If you can't keep a punch in Lacy's face, then you're in trouble. And Hopkins has never been that type of volume puncher, and especially not when he faces punchers.
Hopkins other tactic of fighting dirty and roughing his opponents up wouldn't work against the stronger Lacy, either, IMHO. Tough fight for Hopkins.
Let's not forget that Hopkins in his entire career never faced a power-punching SMW. You guys saying he would just blow Lacy out are dreaming. Hopkins rarely blew anyone out, even pushover middleweights, let alone powerful supermiddles.
