Robbie Barrett: Funny reply! Well done! Ya got me. (Seriously, cool clip...did you do that yourself or paste it from elsewhere?) Yeah, you're right...read a couple other replies reminding me that essentially there is nothing he could do in this day/age to be #1. Sadiqkingofko's reply: "he'd have to conquer 168 and 175, Ward still isn't an ATG while arguably being the best SMW ever and becoming undisputed champ at 175, he might be an ATG if he's beats the WBSS winner at 200" was on point. Hey, it was late...
For GGG to be considered an all time great?

Shako93: I believe it's Jermell and Jermall. Jermell is slightly more the boxer of the two, while Jermall seems to be the bigger puncher. I mentioned Jermall because he has actually moved up to middleweight and GGG has beaten everyone else at that weight that is a real threat (I think). (Biggest challenge would probably be a rematch against Jacobs...close to a 50/50 call there). I've never seen Saunders fight but I've gathered from other's comments he's not that great (though he does have that belt).Last edited by Qwikbarton; 07-07-2017, 01:12 AM. I know a lot of people want to put him on a high pedestal already, but i'm sorry he still has a lot of work to do. Yeah he's 37-0 but in this era of lots of titles he's only fought 5 world champs and one was a welterweight and the other one a lot of people thought he lost to. So to be considered great he needs to beat at least 5 more former/current titlists and go up to 168 and win a title there. What does he need to do to be an all time great? He needs to go up to 175 and beat Andre Ward. I'm sorry but i'm not going to give him a pass for blatantly ducking someone who was just a few pounds above him and was calling him out. Yeah he's knocked a lot of people out but let's put the pom pom's away and be real here, a lot of his opponents have been cupcakes and journeyman, it's just the truth.Comment

Lol, true.......As many know I don't like Golovkin or his fans. I was reading this and thinking this guy is being genuine, he may be overrating Charlo a little but I see where he's coming from.
Then I read.
"he'd have to be seriously considered for #1 middleweight of all time."
And "OMFG this guy is a fucking ****** that doesn't know shit about boxing" immediately entered my thoughts.

Sadiqkingofko: Spot on! My gut/eyeball tells me he's not in Hagler's league either (I never saw Monzon), but the stats were making me go "hmmm."Last edited by Qwikbarton; 07-07-2017, 01:16 AM. Reason: New; didn't know I had to include quote to tie it to the response.Comment

LetOutTheCage: Agree with everything you said. My inclusion of Jermall is simply a function of who remains at middleweight that might actually be a threat.Last edited by Qwikbarton; 07-07-2017, 01:14 AM. Reason: New; didn't know I needed to include the quote to tie it to the response.Comment

J.Razor: Disagree regarding Jacobs, although it was close. Agree regarding Canelo. Honestly not sure re the Charlo's or SMW champs. I would agree the LHWs are too big for him. Hope I get to find out (up to SMW)!Last edited by Qwikbarton; 07-07-2017, 01:18 AM. Reason: New; didn't know I had to include quote to tie it to the response.Comment
